Leisure battery I bought a few of these batteries at the same time and have found they tend not to last as well as I would have hoped. I will not buy them again. 26 August 2011
Plenty of power I am using this excellent battery for pumping water on my allotment as we do not have a mains supply. The carrying handles make the battery very easy to move around and there is plenty of power in reserve. An excellent product. 07 June 2010

very good buy I bought this deep cycle battery for use with a set of solar panels and it works fine. I charge it up via solar power and then use it around the home for a variety of uses, such as charging up my laptop via an invertor unit. I can recommend the battery, as other cheaper batteries will not stand up to the rigours of being charged and discharged in the way that a deep cycle battery will. 09 May 2009
Best Purchase Price This battery is to replace the old Leisure Battery in me 2003 Motor home. For the price for the Leisure Battery it is the best amps per hour i could find. 22 September 2008

I have recently purchased the above leisure battery for my caravan. I want to keep it topped up using a solar panel. When I connect the solar panel I have to select whether I am connecting a sealed, gel or flooded type of battery. I cannot see anything written on the battery to tell me the type. Can you please advise.

Answer: 
The leisure battery is a flooded battery. A solar panel may not supply sufficient charge to keep this battery maintained and will probably require additional charging as well.

Leisure batteries can be trickle charged to be ready for use. Please note that the power supply is 12v DC. Life expentancy depends on how often it is used, how well it is maintained, and the ambient conditions.

Also your various Q&As say you shouldn't discharge past 60% so does that mean a 70Ah battery should only be used for 28Ah before charging?

Answer: 
Reserve capacity is a measure of how long the battery can deliver a certain current. The maximum depth of discharge is 60% so the battery should be charged after 42 Ah.
