Halfords 470L Roof Box Silver Product Description

The Halfords 470L Roof Box Silver offers storage space equivalent to that of a large car boot. It has a modern and aerodynamic design that reduces wind resistance and noise. The aerodynamic shape also means that less fuel is used.

ABS material are used to ensure the roof box is stronger as well as being scratch resistance and with the use of UV protected materials the roof box is prevented from cracking or becoming brittle.

Additional Information

For maximum fuel economy and the minimum wind noise; always try to position the nose of the roofbox behind the line of the airstream rising upwards from your windscreen. On many cars with roof railings, the roof bars can be repositioned to help you achieve this. If your car only has one fixed position for the roof bars, you may be able to reduce the drag and wind noise by using the forward most U bolt fixing holes in the roof box. This will move the roofbox back so that is positioned towards the rear of the vehicle. Also don't forget to use the stickers provided to close off any unused U bolt holes. These stickers help to minimise wind noise and reduce the risk of water getting inside the roofbox.
