The Maxi-Cosi Axiss child seat has the fantastic ability to turn 90 degrees to make putting your child in and out of the car easier for both of you, when the seat is facing you it is then in the perfect position to put your child in comfortably and correctly adjust the harness.

The Axiss features 8 recline positions, which provide genuinely comfortable sleeping positions for your child as well as an adjustable harness to grow with your child making the seat suitable from 9 months to 4 years approx (9-18kg).

Difficult purchase made simple! Car safety for my child was a massive concern and I wasted hours on the Internet reading reviews, canvassing opinions etc. I could have saved myself a whole load of time and just gone to Halfords online in the first place! Plenty of information and extremely competitive on price. I reserved the Maxi Cosi Axiss online and was delighted with the customer experience I got in store when I went to collect. The guy in the store explained all the features of the infant seat I had chosen and compared these to similar infant seats around the same price to verify my selection. He fitted the car seat within seconds and gave a great demonstration. What a fabulous product, we have two cars one with the Maxi Cosi Pebble but the Axiss is so much easier to use. The seat swivels to face the door which makes sitting your child comfortably a breeze compared to the Pebble and so easy when lifting out. I can't believe just how stable the car seat is once in situ, if I had not known I would have thought it was fitted to an ISO fix base as it does not move at all. There is a ratchet machinism that really tightens the seat belt to hold the chair securely and it is an absolute breeze to unstrap and restrap if you need to take the seat out for any reason. My advice would be if you are looking for a none ISO fix solution and want ease when placing your infant both in and out of the car look no further than the Axiss. It looks great has 8 sleep positions which work a treat can't say anymore but buy, you will not be disappointed, oh and buy from Halfords via online reserve option as I believe that will save you money compared to the in store price. 14 May 2012

Great invention We bought this as I am pregnant and thought it would be easier to get my toddler in and out of the car when I get bigger. It certainly does that. My only issue with it is that my toddler looks more squashed in it than the XP which it replaced and is harder to clip in the harness as the belt at the bottom to fix the straps into doesn't pull up as far. 29 March 2012
Maxi Cosi Axiss Child Car Seat After a brief look at forward facing car seats on the internet,we visited our local halfords store to get a hands on look at the variety of seats on the market,we checked out several brands,but put our little boy into the maxi cosi axiss seat,and was impressed with the build quality of the seat,but specifically the turning of the seat dependant on which side of the car its positioned on,after going home and reading the reviews on it we decided to purchase this seat the following week,and it is even better when fitted in the car,so much so as our little boy fell asleep in the seat on his 1st journey,and is so easy to use,the 8 position recline is a god send and is easy to use simply by using 1 hand. 27 March 2012

Does the job Too expensive really for what it is. Got it because of back trouble (mine and husbands), and I guess it does save some twisting but would recommend cheaper for all the difference it makes. Seems really comfy though as the wee one has no trouble sleeping in it. Luckily haven't tested safety yet. 10 March 2012

The only way to know for sure if a child seat will fit is to have a trained fitter try the seat in your car.
