Parrot MKi9100 Bluetooth Handsfree Car Kit

The Parrot MKi9100 is a Bluetooth hands-free system with an OLED screen. A wireless remote control can be positioned on the steering wheel or dashboard and allows the driver to control all the functions of the MKi9100.

In addition to conventional telephony functions, pick up, hang up, dual calls, the Parrot MKi9100 boasts cutting edge telephony functions.

*Bluetooth audio streaming is not supported with the iPhone 5, for this feature a lightning adaptor and plug in are required.

Worthwhile purchase A very useful piece of kit which does not take up a lot of space. The instructions are straightforward and quite short on how to use the controls although I understand more detailed instructions are available on the website. I have however not found it necessary to look these instructions up. I did not fit the product myself. 25 July 2012
Best bit of kit ever bought Can't rate this kit highly enough. Bluetooths music through the stereo perfectly, crystal clear calls, and dead easy to set up and use. Installed myself in half an hour including hiding cables properly. Paired instantly with my iPhone 4 and away I went. If you spend any length of time in your car, this is the only thing you should buy! 20 April 2012
Problems from the outset When the product works its great. But just after 12 hours of owning the product it went down, stopped working and had to book for a refit. A new unit was installed and now it works great, sound & product quality is good. 20 April 2012
parrot mki9100 Fitted it myself to a 54 plate passat as I couldnt wait the 3 weeks for halfords to do it. Nice and easy as no extra leads needed took about an hour. All fine apart from some of the buttons on the remote which dont work on first press . Seems to be a problem with the battery tray whic other people have had. Oth er than that good bit of kit nice and clear and you cant forget to turn it on or charge it which I used to do with the parrot minikit slim I had. 13 March 2012

Hands free Professionally fitted by the Halfords team. No wires visible. Excellent demonstration given by the fitter. The product itself works even better than I expected. Mic situated just behind the steering wheel. Remote sits well on the steering wheel and is easy to use. Tried my Ipod with my new bluetooth and I couldn't be any happier. 20 January 2012
Better than the Old Parrot Excellent product simple to use didnt even need to read the instructions the only draw back is the sticky pads that are supplied with the product dont stick to the dash board 08 January 2012

Ipod - Control

I have the first generation of Ipod touch.

If I have the Ipod connected via the wire and the ipod is playing a song. I then switch off the engine, will the Ipod stop (Ie not run down the Ipod battery) and lock? Or would I manually have to pause the song on the Ipod and lock the Ipod?

I want to leave the Ipod pertinently connected via the wire in the glove box, and not have to touch the Ipod!!

I bought the car and it already comes with a 'Mr Handsfree' device that I want to replace with the Parrot MKi9100 device to be able to play music through bluetooth etc.

Is it possible to have the Parrot deivce bought and fitte by yourselves and the old device removed at the same time?

I can confirm when the vehicles ignition is turned off, the Parrot MKi9100 will be switched off, the charging of a plugged iPod/iPhone will then be stopped.
