Bosch 12V Silver Car Battery HSB096 new to our range of car batteries. Bosch Silver batteries come with a 5 year guarantee.

Silver batteries provide up to 45% more starting power and up to 30% longer life than a standard battery. Power Frame technology means there is a stronger more stable grid within the battery designed to aid with the above as well as give a faster re-charge acceptance and optimum energy flow. Its a battery cannot sensibly review a battery when newly fitted - of course it works as expected! Only time will tell whether I get the long life and dependability that I expect from this top end range battery 07 March 2012

Bosch battery (HSB096) I made a reservation online to ensure I did not have a wasted journey to my local Halfords store in South Ruislip. I arrived 40 mins later and the battery was waiting for me to collect. I was very happy with the service and advice by the team at the store. Seems like they generally care about their customers and they also know their products. Excellent service all round! I purchased this battery for my Honda civic 2.2 diesel. It certainly starts my car with more enthusiasm and force. I am confident of 1st time start ups now without strain.. p.s. This particular battery has a 5 year guarantee - so need to ensure you keep your receipt somewhere safe, just in case. I think I will keep my Halfords reservation email and review response as further proof of purchase, just in case I loose my receipt.... 20 February 2012
Qaulity Product I have only had the battery for about 2 weeks now but it is a marked improvement on my old battery with the car now starting first time. It used to take 2-3 attempts before it actually started before. A bit pricey but i guess its a Bosch so will be more expensive. 16 February 2012

Battery in stock. Last week my daughter's car failed to start - battery flat. Tried to get new battery from local quick fit but no stock - checked on line at Halfords 2 batteries in stock to fit her car - Reserved both but collected bosch battery next day fitted perfectly with no modification and worked first time - thank you Halfords. Excellent same day service Ordered on-line 'Collect & Fit in store' on Monday 16th. January at around midday. Got confirmation txt and email that the battery was ready at the Biggleswade store within the hour. I arrived without warning at around 18.15. Battery waiting for me behind counter. Fitted immediately by very pleasant and helpful lad and I was on my way home.by 18.30. Only concern was that the staff weren't aware of or had the tool to hold the charge for the car's (Land Rover Freelander) electrics whilst new battery fitted. As it happened nothing was lost and didn't even have to re-enter the radio key! Excellent service. Price competitive, cheapest fitting and free disposal of old battery. As this vehicle is only used occasionally will be interested to see how well the Bosch holds the charge. 17 January 2012
battery purchase I purchased a battery for a Mercedes CLK using the web site. It was a Bosche and cheaper than the main dealer and Quickfit. Fitting was good value as well. 07 January 2012

If it's a sealed battery (i.e. no maintenance) used 'sealed' otherwise the battery could get hot

It shouldn't really make any difference although I would just use the standard setting, as although this is an advanced type of battery its designed for normal car use and as such is not especially critical as far as charging is concerned, that is not in the same way as a non-spillable sealed cell device would be that DOES require current monitoring to avoid cell overheating.

I don't see on your web site an illustration or description of terminal layout or type. In other respects battery HSB096 seems to be an almost identical match for the Varta 12v L3 450/720 (EN) MF on my vehicle. This has positive terminal at front left of battery and negative(earth) at front right of battery (viewed from battery front).

The positive terminal is on the front right of this battery. You can find the correct battery for you vehicle by going to "Car Maintenance" then "Car batteries" on our website and either inputting your registration number or selecting make and model.

Hi - you're showing the size of this as 278x175x168 but the Bosch catalogues says 278x175x190 (the right size for my car). Which is right??
