Power Frame technology means there is a stronger more stable grid within the battery designed to aid with the above as well as give a faster re-charge acceptance and optimum energy flow. Silver car batteries come fully charged, ready to fit and are completely maintenance free.

Quality Battery We have a C3 citroen which we had been having problems starting in the cold weather. We decided to change the battery - the silver battery is quite expensive but we decided to purchase as it is supposed to last a long time (fingers crossed). It was easy to install and since we put it in we have had a real cold snap (snow etc) and the car has started every time. 20 December 2009
Great so far Only had the battery for a short time, but starting is excellent now, and the car seems to be running much better for it. Time will tell if quality is as expected. 21 March 2012

Bosch Batt This was a replacement for my MK5 GT Golf original, i read all the reviews about how powerful it was but found it had less amperage than my original, at £120 its expensive, i cant say how much the VW battery was as i didnt check, maybe i should've. saying that i've always bought Bosch batteries and have never been disappointed. The battery has been performing well so far, so no complaints (apart from the price) 15 February 2011
Excellent Replacement This replaced an old battery that just wouldn't start my car from cold during the recent prolonged winter weather. It took ten minutes to fit and now the car starts immediately no matter what temperature it is. Definitely recommended. 21 January 2011

If you require a battery that meets exactly those dimensions provided, unfortunately we are unable to help. However, if you have the ability to fit a battery up to 175mm wide, we can offer the following batteries which are broadly equivalent to the spec you provided - HB072 (957134), HB075 (950592), HSB013 (160997).

The height stated on the HSB013 (bosch code S5 050) is 168mm but the bosch pdf specs sheet states that it is 190mm.I assume the halfords specs shown are wrong?
