Mamas & Papas Primo/Vito Isofix Base Description

Your baby is very precious, so it is natural to worry about fitting your car seat correctly. Many people find it difficult to fit car seats or often fit them incorrectly without knowing, which is why Isofix has been developed. Isofix anchor points are permanent fixtures at the back of the vehicle seat and are usually found in newer cars. These allow your car seat to be secured safely to the main structure of the car by clipping the car seat in and out of the anchor points. Because fitting is quick, simple and doesn't use the car's seat belt, Isofix helps to minimise the risk of incorrect seat installation.

Using the one-click system, you can clip and unclip your Primo Viaggio IP (models after 2008) car seat to the ISOFIX base. The Primo/Vito isofix base also has an adjustable support leg that acts as an anti-rotation device in the event of an accident.This base is for fitment of IP seats and not SIP seats.

Value Wanted Isofix for 1st baby so she could be as safe as possible. Arrived promply and was speedly fitted by my local branch of Halfords. Was also pleased to find out that when I change my car they will be happy to fit FOC again. Also great that I saved money which included fitting compared to buying from Mamas & Papas 17 October 2011

i have a travel system from 2003 and the car seat has its own base, however the base does not fit my new car a Ford SMax correctly, it moves from side to side and the base seems too wide for the seat. which bases do you have compatible with the seat and the car

Unfortunately it is not possible to provide a comprehensive fit-guide for child seats, due to the huge number of variables. The only way to know for sure if the Mamas & Papas Primo/Vito Isofix Base will fit your 02 Volkswagen Golf is to have a trained fitter try the seat in your car.
