The Edge ED209 is a 4-way coaxial speaker boasting stunning design with performance to match. The unique electroplated IMPP cone has been formulated to offer increased bass response whilst the PEI midrange & tweeter units offer crystal clear highs. Edge coaxial speakers are a direct fit for almost every vehicle on the market today.

Additional Information

Speaker fitting is subject to installation into existing factory locations, or pre-prepared holes (e.g. parcel shelf), only where speaker cables are present at the fitting location in the vehicle. Neither store installers nor mobile installers will cut panelwork to install aftermarket products.

Store fitting applies to products fitted by Halfords on site. Normal mobile fitting charges will apply for mobile fitting requests or complex installs, which after inspection, require a mobile fitting contractor (additional cost). Standard charges cover the first hour of mobile installation labour, after which an hourly rate applies, quotations available on request (additional cost).

Additional speaker mounting adaptors may be required at additional cost, either from store stock or by special order, subject to installation requirements.

Fitting service applies to products purchased in Halfords only. Pre-booking may be required. Fitting subject to vehicle inspection, vehicle restrictions may apply. If you require further assistance, please contact your local Halfords store.

Extra charges may apply with vehicles with non standard wiring and / or complex installation requirements.

Great replacement for standard on BMW Mini Cooper Fabulous speakers and a great improvement on the standard fit speaker on my wifes Mini Cooper. Took me 5 miniutes to cut 4 inches off the terminated ends of the provided wires and solder standard spade connectors on with heatshrink insulators to create adaptors to the standard loom on the car. This so you don't cut or damage the standard loom and can retrofit the standard speakers if you ever sell the car. 19 August 2012
edge products this product is value for money and worth the price asked for sound is excellent as i have bought the amp bass box front and back speakers to go with it 13 May 2012
Quality doesnt get cheaper Ive got a pair of 16cm components and these 3x9s. And I must admit I was compeletly shocked as to the quality of these speakers. There are very VERY good build, and the sound the produce is really clear and punchy. Im still shocked, as the wires they come with are on the thin side (but I do like my fat wires). I used them none the less and I am gobsmacked at the power and proformance that they kick out. They look fantastic and sound even better. Do your wallet a favour and get some of these highly recommend speakers!! Cheers halfords!! 16 May 2010
amazing for the money i bought these speaker for my parcel shelf for my pug 106 they go very well with my black interior and my head unit is black and orange i would recomend these to any one sound quality is extremly good in the parcel shelf dnt no what they would sound like anywere else 12 March 2010

The ED209 would make a great addition to the EDGE 12” Subwoofer. A subwoofer is designed to play all the low notes and the ED209 6x9 speakers will play all the high frequencies and midrange.

Is this just a 12” sub or is this one of our Active enclosures? If this is just a subwoofer then you could use either the ED7800 or the ED71600 to power both the 6x9 and the subwoofer to improve the sound of the system of just one amplifier.

I have recently brough an edge bass pack with the 400w amp powering the 900w sub. the amp is 2 channel so can i fit these 6by 3's to my amp even if they are 300w peak output each?

The Amplifier supplied with the bass pack is specified to run the subwoofer only in this configuration. However, as the amplifier is a stereo (2 channel) amp, it is possible to run full range speakers and the subwoofer from the one amplifier, but you will need a working knowledge of how to wire this up and connect both the sub and the speakers without damaging either component.

Should you want to do this, you can connect the speakers to their respective positive and negative stereo connections on the amp output (as if you were just running these speakers), but then connect the positive of the subwoofer to the positive on channel one and the negative on channel two, thereby bridging the amplifier in 'Tri mode', but you MUST connect the subwoofer through a low pass passive crossover to ensure that only the bass frequencies are sent to the subwoofer otherwise you will cause damage not covered by the warranty.
