Bigger is better! Wanted a new battery for my MkI Focus 1.8 TDCi. Looked at the reference chart which specified a battery physically smaller in size than existing Ford one. Looked further at the chart and discovered that the Focus 2.0 TDCi turbo diesel had a bigger battery with more cranking power. Took some measurements from my existing battery and found this new battery to be the same size so ordered one, collected it and fitted it at home. No problems as long as you know the radio code. Engine now turns much quicker and starts brilliantly. 07 January 2012
Big difference This new battery has made a big difference to the car. It now starts easily and the battery does not loose charge so readily. I would definately recommend changing your battery if it is more than 5 years old these days. 02 May 2011
Easy to fit and works Icy weather and lack of using my Ford Focus estate diesel car left it with a near-dead battery. I don't claim to be a mechanic, but I thought it would be easy to replace the battery myself. I did this with a few simple tools easily in half an hour. Really easy. The battery is heavy (no surprise) and the radio/CD player needs its secret code entering after the battery is changed. It isn't clear how to enter that 4-digit code: Press "1" several times to set first digit, "2" several times for second digit etc. Then press "5" to enter the code. The battery price is highest in the range of options for my car, so I must guess it's best, but better than a side-of-the road call-out! 18 January 2011

Silver Calcium Battery Hard to find from normal battery dealers but halfords had them, great battery for my Ford Focus C max, good value compared to other places, reserved the item and picked up. Good Service 01 January 2011

ALL Mondeos should have Lead/Calcium Batteries. They take less power to charge so less load on alternator. If I was to fit a lead acid battery eventually my alternator will burn out due to the extra current required.

We currently stock a HB110 Battery (item code 952481) with a 3 year warranty - we do not stock Bosch Silver 5 year battery version but they can be ordered from your local Halfords store.
