X-Rated Mesh Dirt Jump Bike Product Description

Designed from the ground up, the geometry and frame design of the X-Rated Mesh Dirt Jump Bike has been optomised to be fully jump capable. Powerful V-brakes, strong double wall rims and a 14mm axle create a strong rugged bike capable of tackling tough off road trails and jumps.

Aluminium pedals as well as aluminium v-brakes and levers makes the X-rated Mesh Dirt Jump Bike strong and hardwearing.

worth the price This bike is without a doubt a great bike. I was riding it around on jumps and it was amazing and easy to control.The only down side to the bike is that it is pretty heavy, witch stops you from doing bunny hops as high as you'd like but it didn't stop me from trying. 08 June 2011

Brilliant Bike My son was over the moon with this bike. It looks as good in actuality as it appears in the photo. It is robust and smart looking. Very pleased. Can't speak personally for the performance because I haven't ridden it! But I am assured it does exactly as was promised. 09 October 2011
Great Bike Great Bike! bought it last week haven't found any faults with it as of yet! Very strong frame and wheels. Just a tad on the heavy side with the steel frame. Brakes are super powerful. I've had to adjust them out to stop me going over the bars. I had the Puncture proof slime put in my tyres - its great havent had a single puncture despite riding over glass and flints. Just be careful when pumping up the tyres as some of its sprays out! 17 August 2011

The 14mm Axle is not currently available as an aftermarket replacement. In this instance you need to go to your local Halfords store to Special Order the correct replacement rear wheel.

The X-Rated Mesh uses a standard sized BMX Bottom Bracket shell. The replacement bottom bracket is available to Special Order from your local Halfords store.

It is too heavy to jump... at all. It is good for cruising on the flat or on a downhill. Not just weight is the issue - the cranks are weak (cottered) and the wheels are easily damaged. But for price it's a great low rider cruiser!

The bike weighs approx 17.15kg. This weight will affect how the bike rides over jumps but the height gained from a jump will be determined more by your own skill rather than the weight of your bike. However, please remember neither this nor any other Halfords bike is covered for Dirt Jump use and as such you will automatically void your warranty if the bike is used for such an application.

The SR Suntour XCT V3 comes in several variations of fitment. As long as the fork you buy incorporates a standard 1-1/8th steerer and V-Brake mounts it will fit into the frame. Unfortunately, due to the Mesh using a heavy duty 14mm axle you would need to change your front wheel to a QR or 10mm bolted front wheel to allow them to fit into the Suntour forks dropouts.
