Unsatisfactory product I bought this around 6 months ago, the big problem is that i tune in stations and within a couple of days the memory has been wiped, which is very frustrating when you have tuned in 15 different dab stations, very frustrating indeed so cannot recommend this product, having looked online this seems to be a recurring theme. BTW the staff at Halfords Bromborough were extremely helpful and professional just shame about the product 26 March 2012
Nice looking ,improved sound,difficult to tune in I purchased Philips dab car stereo ,and had it installed by Halfords,I'd definitely recommend Halfords installation ,Dave in the Liverpool Edge Lane branch was excellent,an awkward installation,as previous stereo bolted in from behind,looks good in 2004 Hyundai Coupe,improved cd sound,but found it a little difficult to tune in,dab works great ,most of the time.Signal does break up in built up areas sometimes. I would definitely recommend this Dab stereo 19 March 2012

excellent!!! I can only praise this fantasic machine. Being a bit of a technophobe the ins and outs of DAB technology are a foreign language but I know what I like and this is high on the list - easy to use, fantasic sound, easy pre-sets so my channel choices can be changed at the appropriate times of the day and didn't have to get my 7 year old to programme it for me. 12 January 2012
Great product I had this stereo fitted in my 2003 mini cooper by Halfords Salisbury on the 4/12/2011 and what a great service they provided all I can say is perfect perfect perfect. The stereo works with no issues looks great really enjoying DAB radio plus you can change the colour to match your dash great sound lots of functions to personalise it. Great product 13 December 2011

Superb Quality I haven't fitted a card radio for years and yet I was finished in 15 mins. The wiring adapter supplied in the box fitted the standard radio terminals of my BMW850. The only change I made was to the FM ariel cable. This required an adapter which I purchased separately. I ran the DAB ariel cable from the radio into the rear of the glove box, so no wires nor ariel can be seen. The DAB ariel is inside my glove box and so far the signal is superb. Should I ever get into a weaker signal area, it will be a simple matter of taking the ariel out of the glove box and repositioning it. The sound quality is excellent, however my system already has a separate amplifier as part of the cars setup. 24 February 2011
Not that good could be a lot better I drive a lot on the motorway and this model keeps loosing its stations if I re tune it in. The more DAB radio stations it finds, the slower it gets. I exchanged the radio but the new one is the same. 10 January 2011

Aerial Installation

Will this unit require a new aerial to be fitted? I understand that DAB aerials are slightly different and that it's best to have a properly fitted external aerial to increase reception instead for example, a magnetic aerial?

I bought a Philips CEM3000B/05 Dab Radio at Christmas. The unit will not hold any memory when switched off at the ignition. The power side of the ISO connector was supplied wired as follows;
7 empty 8 empty
5 yellow 6 empty
3 empty 4 blue
1 black 2 red

Should the yellow wire supplied in position 5 of the ISO connector be moved to position 4
