Boardman Road Race Product Description

Providing a fantastic entry level into the Boardman branded road bike range, the Boardman Medium Road Race Bike offers a lightweight triple butted aluminium frame with a full carbon fibre fork and quality Shimano Sora 18 speed gearing. Ideal for those looking to get involved in serious road riding for excellent value for money.

Just wondered why the rear mech isn't a short cage model when the cassette seems quite compact and whether it can be replaced with one.

It just happens to be what they supply with the bike unfortunately. Shorter mechs are desired on MTBs for ground/obstacle clearance, something that is not an issue with road bikes.

I want to get some spare inner tubes. The spec for this bike says tryes are Vitttoria 700 x 2c but it clearly says 700 x 23c on my tyres

I understand that the 2013 Sora shifters have been updated to include paddle-style levers. One of the reviews of this bike mentions the old style thumb shifter to change down. Can you confirm the shifter type on this bike?
