The Pioneer DEH-1300MP has a front auxiliary input & is powered by MOSFET 50W x 4 Amplifier, which offers optimal levels of performance with minimal distortion & features an RCA Pre-out, which adds flexibility to your in-car audio setup. This means that you can expand your sound system with an additional amplifier for your rear speakers.

This head unit fits into 95% of cars.* A wiring harness adaptor may be required (additional cost). For cars fitted with a non standard sized car audio unit a new fascia adaptor will be required (additional cost). Store fitting applies to units fitted at Halfords stores. Normal mobile fitting charges will apply for mobile fitting requests or complex installs, which after inspection, require a mobile fitting contractor - details will be provided by your local Halfords store. Awesome Product! Head unit is fab! Especially when Halfords knocked £60 off it! Had a little trouble wiring up to begin with - the stored radio channels wiped themseles when ou turned the igition off, but this WAS SOLVED by swapping the bullet connected red and yellow wires in the suplied harness. ONce rewired they should be red-yellow/yellow-red as opposed to red-red/yellow-yellw 31 July 2012

pioneer deh 1300mp Not bad for the offer price from halfords, sounds fine, nice set of ready primed tone options. looks nice in the dark. Selection buttons are a bit too small and not well defined, but you soon learn which is which. 21 April 2012

Installed this radio and wired it up, works fine but doesn't turn off with the ignition. Even when the radio is turned off it seems to be draining my battery.

I switched the red/red and yellow/yellow wires to red/yellow and yellow/red and it still doesn't turn off (or on) with my ignition? even without the key inserted it still turns on, which is why i think my battery is dying so quickly when i leave the car unused.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It's quite irritating that the CD pops out if I decide to swap to radio or when I turn the stereo off. Is it possible for this to not happen? Instruction manual doesn't seem to say anything about it.

The CD should not be affected by simply switching sources. As long as you are definitely pressing the right button, then the CD should remain in the unit until the eject button is pressed.
Sounds like you have a faulty unit, please contact the store you purchased it from & they should be able to arrange a replacement.

I wired up an active subwoofer to this stereo. But to my dissappointment no sound was made by the sub. I double checked it wasn't the sub by connecting a RCA to 3.5mm jack and played music from my phone. This worked. I then tested for any power from the RCA output and there was none. Is there something I need to do to get the Pre-out to output sound?

Answer: 
You need to turn the RCA Pre-Out on in the settings menu.
You also have to make sure you have told the headunit that you are powering
a Subwoofer rather than a 2 or 4 channel amplifier.

Details of how to access this menu are in the manual.
From memory, turn the unit off then hold down either menu, settings or
source button (volume control) to access this setting menu.
