Nextbase SDV49AC 9" Dual Tablet DVD Players

The all new Nextbase SDV49AC brings the unbeatable quality of Nextbase at a fantastic price. The Nextbase SDV49AC is a dual tablet style portable DVD player system (master, master), with a disc slotting neatly under each screen itself. This allows the players to be very slim and makes it ideal for use in the home as well as in the car on long journeys (car mounting kit included). Two films can be watched independently or one film can be shared across both 9" players.

Display

The 9" screens on the Nextbase SDV49AC portable DVD players are LED backlight high resolution panels with 800 x 480 RGB true colour pixels, which ensure that you always get a perfect picture. Unlike many other portable DVD players the Nextbase units are specifically designed to be fully portable, it has a very wide viewing angle and an inbuilt anti-skip mechanism which allows you to keep enjoying a film even if you are travelling down a bumpy country road.

Supported formats

The Nextbase SDV49AC portable DVD players support a huge range of discs and formats including DVD, DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW, CD-R/RW, CD Audio, XviD, MPEG4, MP3, DivX, JPEG, JPG viewer and Kodak pictures so there is very little that this portable DVD player can't deal with. The wide range of format support means that it is not only a portable movie player but also a music player with support for audio CDs and MP3s.

Connectivity

On the side of the players there are audio/video output and inputs. The output means you can use the AV cable (supplied as standard) to plug into a TV and use a player as a standard DVD player. Video input means that you can plug any external video device, such as a camcorder into the player and view the video on the screen.

rechargeable battery

A great advantage of the SDV49AC portable DVD players is that each player has it's own inbuilt rechargeable battery pack that will power each DVD player for over 2 hours; so you can watch a film in the car, then stop at your destination and carry on viewing without any hassle.

USB connectivity

On the side of the DVD player there is a USB port where you can plug in a USB memory stick (up to 8GB) to view your pictures or watch movies directly from the USB stick. There is also a SD card slot which will support SD cars up to 4GB. This is a neat feature as you can store a number of movies onto a USB stick or SD card directly from your PC, and then watch them whenever you like.

Stand alone player or in car

The rear of the screens features a picture frame style stand for standing on a flat surface such as a table. It also comes with a car headrest mounting kit for fitting your portable player in the car on those long road trips, together with a car cigarette lighter power adapter and screen linking cable.

Really great - kids loved them This set of 2 9" dvd players was great as you can play 2 different movies at the same time so have 2 happy children. Easy to use, with my only criticism being how fiddly it is to change the dvd when in the car mount. If this could be changed, then this would be absolutely fantastic. 01 September 2012
