Great Bike Bought this for 7yr old daughter as she had out grown her first bike (also from Halfords) She loves it!. As with a previous reviewer i too had to remove th rear reflector to lower the seat just a tad so that should could sit comfortably on it. Can always put it back when she gets a bit bigger!. Her older sister is really jealous. 21 May 2012
Great purchase Bought the bike for my daughters 6th birthday she is average size for her age and the bike size is perfect. We did however remove the back reflector from under the seat so we could lower the seat that extra half inch but have since put it back on now she has the confidence to ride a bigger bike. I would recommend this bike. 21 April 2012
Great girls bike A great bike that is adjustable as it is just about the right size for my daughter now, but it can easily be raised for her when she grows increasing its value for money! Looks fab and has 6 gears to help her out on hills etc. It seems really well built and very sturdy, dual suspension has really helped our daughter get into riding more as it is a much smoother ride for her. 19 April 2012
Top Product We were looking for a larger bike for our 6 yr old daughter, who had out-grown her first set of wheels. The build quality of this Apollo bike is great. It isn't too heavy for a child to handle and the twist-shift gears are simple to use, although a little stiff at first.I can see this bike lasting a good few years. Good buy I bought it as a birthday present for my 7 year old daughter. She was astonished when she first saw it. She had a smaller one before but she did not find it difficult at all. I reserved it on line and it was ready the next day. I also received a confirmation text. When I phoned Halfords to ask if they could keep it for one more day they had no problem and sent me a confirmation text. It was a good value for money. 14 April 2012
Very Good Purchase Very good bike, built and ready to go when I picked it up. My daughter loves it. Very easy for her to ride and great colours. First bike for her with gears and she has already picked up how to use them even though the gripshift is alittle stiff. Other wise a great bike! 11 April 2012
Great value I bought this bike for my 7 year old daughter and it was just what I was looking for. Nice simple gears (first time she has had a bike with gears). Loads of adjustment in the saddle (so should last a while). Good build quality - longevity is yet to be tested but see no problems so far. 02 January 2012

The Apollo Pure can be fitted with the Adie Stabilisers (181985). However, you will need to purchase the additional derailleur adaptor kit (574848) in order to allow the stabiliser to clear the derailleur. The Apollo Pure does not incorporate QR Wheels. A 15mm Nut is used to secure the wheels in the frame and forks.

birthday surprise

if this is reserved on line and the mud guards as well, is it built up with the mud guards on that is reserved also if everything is reserved. So its ready to collect or when its collected does it need to be asked to built up and the mud guards put on before taking away?
Plus my daughter is very tall for her sge. This will be her 7th birthday obviously I don't want to ruin her surprise ,do u think this isn't to big for her height,I don't think so just want to be sure before reserving bike and mud guards?

Just bought this for my tall 7 year old's birthday. She is 131cm tall. Perfect fit on lowest saddle height. Can reach handlebars no problem. Brake levers can be altered for small hands. She sat on other 24 inch bikes and they were too big. This one perfect! Would recommend.

When you collect in store the accessories with which you bought the bike will be fitted for you. It's difficult to say whether this bike will be too big but the bike lands in the 7-9 years category and it's a bonus that your daughter is taller for her age, there is also some limited adjustment on the seat and handlebars to help you out also.
