The Pendleton Somerby Hybrid Bike is a classic cruiser-style bike with an upright riding position for a comfortable ride. Created exclusively for female riders, the Somerby features 7-speed Shimano gearing whilst added comfort features include a padded and sprung leather-style saddle and ergonomic handlebar grips providing and upright riding position. A great looking bike is completed with a distinctive blue and cream design with complementing mudguards and chainguard.

The Somerby is part of the first all-female bikes range created purely for women and offers a stylish yet practical way to get into cycling. A unique design from Britain's first lady of cycling, Victoria Pendleton, the Somerby offers maximum comfort for the modern female combining feminine touches with a sense of timeless style making it perfect for fitness or fun.

So glad I bought it I saw the bike in Halfords in Hinckley and couldnt take my eys off it. Once I bought it and took it home I am out riding it every day.Very good looking bike so never leave it unlocked.Gets alot of looks! Easy gear change and very smooth ride.No need to struggle up hills.Does 20miles easy ride and so much fun.Mud guard does rattle a bit,but that adds to the charm. GREAT BIKE 17 August 2012
A lovely bike I have recently bought this bike to replace the one I got for my 11th birthday. I have not ridden a bike for around 5 years but got straight on and rode for around 6 miles with no problems. The 'sit up and beg' seating position suits me perfectly and it is very comfortable to ride. The gears are great for getting up hills and it's also good to look at. A few rattles from the mudguards and from the bell, which rings spontaneously occasionally, but overall a great bike for the money and wholly recommended. 24 May 2012
Great ladies bike Bought to replace 30yr old bike, wanted something easy to get on and off as i plan to ride this one for next 30 yrs! Only issue is that the gears do not offer chance to work those leg muscles but it does make hill cycling v.easy. 20 May 2012
Powder Blue Perfection Just what I wanted. Comfortable lady's sit-up riding position. Caused many favourable comments on its stylish appearance and found it really easy to ride on an initial 8 mile jaunt. Slight rattling sound from mudguards but this is comfortingly traditional. 18 May 2012
Pendleton Somerby Bought this for my daughter who likes things with a bit of a difference. Great to ride on road, adequate on light tracks. Gear range is not huge (7 speed) but adequate for the kind of riding you would use this bike for. 16 May 2012
Lovely to ride I can honestly say that this is the best bike I have ever ridden - it's so comfortable. I have had mountain style bikes in the past and have found them to be a very 'hard' ride, whereas this one is an absolute pleasure to ride. I bought mine to get fit and this will be easy to accomplish with this bike. The accessories are great too - I love my wicker basket that I can use for shopping.I have drawn some admiring glaces too (not me, the bike :) It is a lovely looking bike - very feminine. 13 May 2012
Fantastic! I love this bike, i use it everyday to get to work and it never lets me down. The only thing I will say is that the change is gears is not very smooth but to be honest you don't need to change the gears very much to use it. Gorgeous bike and gets a lot of looks! 15 April 2012

I have just received delivery of myPendleton Somerby and I am not sure if it should have had a stand fitted? There seems to be a place for one and was not offered as an optional extra by the store.

Answer: 
The Somerby does not feature a quick release wheel system. You would have to remove the front wheel entirely which would be time consuming as it also has integrated mudguards fitted.

The Yepp Maxi rear child seat (291307) has a very compact fitting system and can fit bikes that do incorporate mudguards and pannier racks like the Somerby. Alternatively a handlebar or central child seat such as the WeeRide Deluxe (237037) should also fit. In this case I believe the best way to check for proper fitment would be to try one of the seats and ensure that it can be fitted correctly. Bikes are not delivered fully assembled - there will be some home assembly required but on the whole the bike will be supplied about 85% ready.
