Parrott Minikit + A fully integrated set up wasn't pactical due to a need to have the capability in more than one vehicle. I've used a bluetooth earpiece for several years and whilst good it becomes unfomfortable in longer journeys and I also wanted voice calling. The sound quality is excellent and voice recognition very good. So far the volume seesm to be loud enough but I havn't yet tried it at Motorway speeds. So far it seems to be an excelletn product. bluetooth While on the whole this looked liked a nice bit of kit, it turned out to be less than useless. If the car was stationary it was fine, but as soon as the car moved off it was impossible to hear . The mic seems to have such a small field of area it had to be placed on the dash right in front of the driver and NOT on the visor like it was supposed too. 06 May 2012
Good starter product Having a company car and not knowing how long I would keep a particular car, I didn't want to fork out for a fully integrated parrot. I needed flexibility to transfer to another vehicle. The priority with this device for me was the dual function, allowing me to pair both work and personal phone - this is an excellent feature. The sound quality is excellent and voice recognition very good. My only gripe is that although you can hear clearly the volume doesn't go high enough. If you're on a particularly bumpy or uneven road you can struggle to hear the other person. All in all very good product! 17 April 2012

Parrot Hands Free in car minikit+ What a brilliant product. It's very easy to set up and use. The fact that the Parrot immediately recognises your phone when you get in the car, means there is nothing to do before you set off on your journey. I cannot recommend it enough. 29 January 2012

When ever I return to my car the unit 'wakes up' and connects to my Nokia which it is paired to - great - but a few seconds later it switches on the media player on my phone. I can stop it doing this each time by switching it off but I don't want it on in the first place. It's very embarrassing when this happens in the early hours when I get a call out. Please help.

I have come across this automatic music streaming observation once before, in the first instance I recommend to confirm the current software version on the Parrot Minikit+ followed by a software update if required.

The latest version of software for the Minikit+ is v1.16 ; this is displayed when you search for devices via Bluetooth, i.e. Minikit+ v1.xx*

If an update is required, please find below a direct link to the complete Parrot Minikit+ update procedure on the Parrot UK website.

Could you clarify if this product is supposed to switch on automatically when you get into the car. Mine doesn't, the product spec states that it should, but several reviews state that you need to switch it on when you get in.

The Parrot MINIKIT+'s vibration sensor will switch it into On mode and automatically connect it to your mobile phone as soon as you enter your vehicle.
