The Nuvi 40's speed limit indicator shows you how fast you can go on most major roads. With its 'Where Am I?' emergency locator, you always know your location.

A perfect starting point for any journey, the Garmin Nuvi 40 features a 4.3" touchscreen & provides accurate, turn-by-turn directions that speak street names. Get Turn-by-Turn Directions with the Nuvi 40's intuitive interface greets you with two simple choices: 'Where To?' and 'View Map.' Touch the screen to easily look up addresses and services and to be guided to your destination with voice-prompted, turn-by-turn directions that speak street names.

Know the Lane Before It's Too Late

With the Nuvi 40 there's no more guessing which lane you need to be in to make an upcoming turn. Available in selected areas, lane assist with junction view guides you to the correct lane for an approaching turn or exit, making unfamiliar intersections and exits easy to navigate. Just the job This is an excellent product for the price paid. I have used it four times now and it has not let me down.If you take a contrary turn,it will recalculate immediately. For someone like me,a poor map reader who gets lost easily its ideal.Also very easy to understand. 25 July 2012
Great value for money Great piece of kit for the money. Using it on my motorbike with an adapter. Screen not really sharp enough for this purpose, but great in every other respect. 03 July 2012
