The Prism Resistor Upgrade 501 Kit simply fits to the warning light inside your car to prevent errors that are caused by fitting aftermarket LEDs. Unlike standard resistors, this kit simply plugs into your vehicle bulb socket so there is no need to re-wire or solder. The kit is useful for modern cars such as Audi, BMW, Mercedes, VW etc. Once fitted it will prevent common problems associated with fitting aftermarket LEDs.

No More Canbus Errors I used this product on a BMW canbus systen motorbike to stop error codes when I replaced the w501 running lights with LED's. They work perfect with no error codes and I only needed one to fool the canbus system so as there are two in a pack I also have a spare. These 3w resistors are a great way to work around the canbus problem when fitting LED lights, are easy to fit and are good value for money. 19 October 2012

The ones I bought are Halfords advanced from a store in Bristol, England. They are 501led canbus compatible bulbs 12v/1w.

I have fitted them in a Vauxhall Vectra 08 plate and have some issues.

1. The warning light has not gone after replacing the blown sidelight (replacing both with this product).

2. After turning the engine off or just using the central locking these flash every 2-3 seconds very briefly for around a minute

Good product when actually driving just these niggling problems.

Do I need this product in conjunction with the new bulbs even though it states "Canbus compatible"?
