AutoDAB Interface for BMW

'AutoDAB' integrated Digital Radio Adaptor. When fitted it is completely hidden behind the dash in the car for a factory look. It is controlled using the vehicle's factory steering wheel controls, and displays Digital Radio information on the Factory Stereo display. The AutoDAb has a voice prompt menu system, for added safety. The Autodab can be fully installed by our IMI certified and experienced installers.

AutoDAB have developed a full range of DAB interfaces which cover 90% of all vehicles on the road in Europe. DAB stations can be selected from the vehicles steering wheel controls, allowing seamless DAB integration into your vehicle. The AutoDAB can only be controlled using the steering controls and not the factory stereo buttons!.

AutoDAB Interface for BMW 4 5 1 1
AutoDAB Interface for BMW Installation was straight forward. The most difficult aspect was removing the glovebox to thread the aerial lead to the A piller (thank goodness for the internet!). The radio works well, just as to says using the steering wheel to control the DAB stations. Reception is crystal clear in good areas but drops out in the middle of Wales for example. Aerial is not as 'invisible' as I would have liked. 02 April 2012

compatability

Despite halfords attitude of no job too big or too small i continue to be able to find anything that your technicians are capable of fitting to my car and i would hazard a guess that this is probably the case again but here goes. will this item fit a 1999 728i with factory buisness radio and 4.3 sat nav

Apparently the DVD training aids have been issued now so they should be able to fit in the future. They wouldn't fit mine despite purchasing the "fit in store" option on the internet. I fitted it myself in the end. It took about 2 hours, 1 to remove radio fasia and fit DAB unit and 1 to remove glovebox for aerial cable. I could do the next in less than 1 hour and i was picky about securing for no rattles!

The CTDAB-BM1 is only made to operate with your model of car built after 2005.

If the product you are looking at is in stock in your chosen store you can reserve it online and it will be ready to collect in only 1 hour. If it is not in stock, order the product before 3pm Monday to Friday and it will be ready to collect from 1pm the following day including Saturday.
