Britax Trifix Child Car Seat Max Description

The Britax Trifix child car seat is universally approved for use in any car with isofix and top tether anchorage points. It also has an isofix+ installation system that allows direct connection to your cars isofix and top tether anchorage points.

In addition to deep, softly padded side wings, the Trimax has energy absorbing SI-Pad technology to ensure superior side impact protection.

Isofix Installation

This is a high performance Isofix base that allows direct connection to the anchor points in your car. The Isofix insertion guides offer easy installation and protection for your car interior. Indicators confirm that the Isofix hooks and top tether are engaged correctly. The isofix connector release is on the front of the seat for easy disconnection and the arms retract to prevent damage when storing away.

Isofix + & V-Tether

Isofix + seats use the Isofix installation system along with the V-tether, a top tether that adds a 3rd anchorage point, reinforcing the seats stability. In the event of an accident, the intelligent V-tether technology absorbs impact forces proportionate to those generated by the collision and, in combination with the Pivot Link system, dramatically reduces any forward or rotational movement in a collision situation.

SI-Pad Technology

Uniquely-designed SI-Pads are made of energy absorbing material and built in to critical areas of the side panels of the Trifix.

Pivot Link System

The Isofix Pivot link system reduces your child's forward movement within the seat - not only reducing the amount of force your child is subjected to but also reducing the odds of their head hitting your car interior.

Side Impact Protection

The Trifix child seat offers maximum side impact protection with deep, softly padded side wings for added safety

Safety Harness & Headrest

The Trifix has a 5-point safety harness with a one pull adjustment for ease of use and prevents rethreading errors. Performance chest pads are attached to stop the harness rubbing on your child's neck and prevent forward movement of your child in the event of an impact. The height adjustable headrest grows with your child and has an easy single hand adjustment from the front. Harness retainers make it easy for you to put your child in their seat and the buckle stays in a forward position to make it easier to put your child in their seat.

Multi Recline Positions

The Trifix has comfortable recline positions for your child's comfort meaning the seat adjusts without disturbing your child.

Accessories

The cover can be removed without interfering with the harness and is machine washable so that your child seat stays looking new.

Britax trifix The Britax trifix fitted easily into my Volvo XC70 estate and the third fixing behind the car seat made the isofix seat feel safer than a normal isofix seat. The seat looks and feels like a quality product. I originally looked for a rear facing seat but gave up on the availability and inconvenience. The seat is expensive but you can transfer it to sucessive vehicles and I didn't want my family saying I had not bought the safest seat for the nippers. It's can be used for ages 9 months to 4 years so I hope to get a good 10 years out of it for family grandchildren. 12 November 2012
