Young cyclists will be getting on their bikes for a weekend on fun on Blackpool's promenade.
The local council has organised a Go-Ride Inter School Cycling competition, which seeks to improve children's bike skills.
At the event, cycling experts will pass on helpful tips to the riders, who all go to local primary schools, the Blackpool Gazette reported.
Councillor Tony Williams said that children who developed cycling skills at an early age tended to stay with the activity.
Cycling is good for developing a sense of wellbeing and maintaining weight.
"These young people will be surrounded by the top cyclists in the country at the Cycle Festival so the atmosphere will be electric," he added.
Blackpool was recently named by the government as an official Cycle demonstration Town.
