A BMX event is set to inspire bike riders in Watford as a mobile track is brought into town.

Bushey will receive delivery of the track for the Fix and Trix BMX event that takes part on August 29th, according to the Watford Observer.

Halfords staff will also be attending the event to carry out free safety check on attendees' bikes - which can be left under the care of the police Neighbourhood Team for safekeeping when not being used on the ramps.

PC Fuller from the local force said: "Please bring your children along – it's a fun afternoon out and we will make sure your bikes go away in tip-top condition."

Hertsmere Borough Council has paid for the hiring of the BMX skate ramp, the newspaper added.

BMX bikes at Halfords start at around £79.99 for a boys' Apollo Stuntking 16-inch.

There is also money off several models at the moment, including the X-Rated Snare Dirt Jump BMX Boys Bike - reduced by £60 to £119.99.
