Renault has been demonstrating its commitment to ecological matters by getting involved in an initiative being run by the Eden Project.
Gardeners in Cornwall were invited by the environmental facility near St Austell to design a family garden that was eco-friendly.
In addition to being suitable for family life, it had to include space to keep a small car - and Eden Project staff asked Renault to provide the car.
The carmaker supplied its supermini, Clio Dynamique dCi 86, an eco vehicle which emits just 117 g/km of CO2 and does 64.2 mpg on a combined cycle.
It is one of 93 Renault vehicles that emit 140 g/km or less - and among the 31 that emit 120 g/km or less.
Many carmakers are aiming towards designing vehicles with improved fuel efficiency and which give out less than 140 g/km of CO2.
Drivers can also make a difference to the emissions of their cars by checking tyre pressure is appropriate for their car and the load it is carrying.
One handy device for doing this is the £9.99 Halfords Industrial Tyre Pressure Gauge, which is easy to as it has a with backlit display.
