Pressure Washers Buyer's Guide

Do you like cleaning the car when it's caked in mud or scrubbing the patio when it's covered in green algae? Why not let a pressure washer do most of the work and save you time and money.

How Pressure Washers Work

Pressure washers work by increasing your standard tap pressure by over 100 times. This increased pressure is then usually enough to remove road grime from your vehicle and ground-in, stubborn, dirt and algae from patios and paths. Additionally, if you use a specialist detergent you will get even better results.

By using a pressure washer, rather than a standard cleaning method such as spraying with a hose-pipe, you complete the job faster and use less water, saving you time and money.

How To Choose

We sell a range of pressure washers so you might find it helpful to think about these factors and then look at our Comparison Chart:

  • The Rate Pressure (measured in bars) tells you how much force is behind the water. The higher the pressure the greater the ability to shift stubborn dirt.
  • The Flow Rate is the volume of water the pressure washer uses in an hour, in litres. The higher the Flow Rate the bigger the area you can clean in the time.
  • The Wattage indicates the size of the motor in the pressure washer. A higher wattage motor gives you more cleaning power and better overall performance.
  • The longer the hose length the more manoeuvrability you have when cleaning. We suggest that you measure your working area before buying. It's easy to under-estimate how much hose you will need, especially when cleaning a car on all sides.
