Delivery Information

All goods can be delivered either to your home address, to an alternative address or to your work address. We will only deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom.

How do I get something delivered?

Once you have found something on Halfords.com that you want to purchase, simply add it to your shopping basket and go through the checkout process.

Where can I get it delivered to?

All goods can be delivered either to your home address, to an alternative address or to your work address. We will only deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom. For deliveries to non-mainland UK addresses and certain remote locations e.g. Scottish Isles, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands, there may be an additional delivery charge and slightly longer delivery lead-time.

Your order will be delivered either by Royal Mail, Royal Mail Recorded Delivery or by courier. A signature is required for all Royal Mail Recorded Delivery and courier deliveries.

If your order contains more than one product the individual products may, on occasions, be sent on multiple dispatches at no extra charge.

How much does delivery cost?

The delivery charge for each item is listed on the product detail page underneath the ‘Add to Basket’ button.

 

When you add products to your shopping basket the appropriate charge will be added automatically. All delivery charges will be shown clearly throughout the checkout process.

 

We make every effort to keep our delivery charges as low as possible. The delivery charge depends on the size and weight of the product ordered and the delivery service option you choose.

 

You can choose from our Standard Delivery Service or Flexible Delivery Options.

Delivery charges are per order, not per item, so for example, if you buy an adult bike and a sat nav you only pay £9.99 for the delivery of both.

For some items, e.g. selected Sat Nav, the standard delivery charge is free. This is clearly marked on the appropriate product detail pages.

Flexible delivery options are an additional charge to the standard delivery of items/orders.

For example, if you have a Car Audio unit delivered on a named day of your choice the cost for delivery is £7.99.

When will it be delivered?

You can choose from our Standard Delivery Service or Flexible Delivery Options.

 

Standard delivery of stocked items is normally within 4 working days. Delivery times are calculated in working days - i.e. Monday to Friday inclusive (working days do not include weekends or National Bank Holidays). In case of Bank Holidays please allow an extra 2 working days.

 

Some items are delivered directly to you from the manufacturer and may incur a longer delivery lead-time. This is clearly shown on the product detail page.

 

For Next Day Delivery, orders must be placed by 1pm.

 

Your order will be delivered either by Royal Mail, Royal Mail Recorded Delivery or by courier. A signature is required for all Royal Mail Recorded Delivery and courier deliveries. Goods delivered by courier will usually arrive between 9am and 5pm, however our couriers may attempt delivery outside these hours, upto 9pm Monday to Friday. All courier deliveries must be signed for. If you are out when the courier arrives the courier will leave a card with the contact number for you to call to arrange a suitable time for redelivery or for you to collect the goods from the local depot.

 

Deliveries to non-Mainland UK or remote locations may take longer.

 

Please note that if your order is made up of a combination of items, deliveries may, on occasion be made separately.

 

Risk in the goods will pass to you on delivery. We reserve the right to alter or amend delivery times in exceptional circumstances.

 

We do everything we can to meet the delivery time specified in this section, however occasionally delivery times may be affected by factors beyond our control and cannot be guaranteed. We will inform you if we become aware of an unexpected delay. In the event that we fail to meet a specified delivery date you will have the option of either cancelling your order and receiving a full refund, or continuing with the order and accepting a refund of any additional delivery charge we have made.

Restrictions on ordering and delivery

We can only accept orders from holders of credit or debit cards registered at UK addresses.

 

We can deliver to most addresses in the U.K. Unfortunately we are unable to deliver to non-UK destinations, including the Republic of Ireland. Please contact us by email at customer.services@halfords.co.uk if you require further details.

 

All goods are subject to availability. Where a person attempts to buy goods where minimum age limits apply, the contract will be deemed void where the individual is below the required age limit.
