Next Steps - How to apply for the Halfords Trade Card

You can apply to become a Trade Card member at any Halfords store***. Find your local store. Simply bring in one of the qualifying criteria below along with proof of signature to obtain a trade card from the parts desk.


Job Role

One of the following qualifying criteria is required to prove you are a mechanic:

Qualified Mechannic
  • NVQ or City & Guilds Motor Trade Qualification
  • Business card stating they have their own Mechanics Business

Self Employed Mechanic

Mobile Mechanic

Small Independent Garage Mechanic

Semi Skilled Mechanics from Fast Fit Centres
Commercial vehicle Mechanics
Police, Fire, Ambulance, Mechanics
Bus Mechanic
Local Authority Mechanic
Recovery Mechanic
College Motor Vehicle Staff College ID stating you are a Motor vehicle lecturer or any of the above
College apprentice Mechanics Motor trade college enrolment certificate or any of the above
Army Mechanics REME Cerfticiate or any of the above
RAF or Aviation Engineers CAA Certificate or airside engineering pass or Aircraft Engineering Maintenance Licence

Lost, Stolen or Replacement trade card required?

Should you require a replacement card due to any of the above, you will need re-apply for a card at your nearest store. - meeting the requirements above. Unfortunately there is no facility to replicate cards or to post them direct from our central office.

Groups of 20 technicians or more?

Should you work in a garage / motor vehicle workshop and you and your colleagues meet the qualifying criteria above you can arrange a visit from a trade manager who will issue the cards. Please only use this voice mail number for a workshop visit of 20 plus technicians. Unfortunately no other enquiries can be dealt with via this messaging service.


Simply call ...01527 513384...and leave a message, you will then be contacted within 10 working days to discuss a suitable visit time.
