Macmillan and Halfords believe in people's right to feel good in their daily lives. We share an ambition to help everyone affected by cancer.
By working together, we can improve the help available to the 2 million people living with cancer in the UK. With our help, we believe we can help Macmillan to reach more people and provide cancer support and information to everyone who needs it.
At Halfords, we have an array of fundraising activities planned throughout the year to promote Macmillan and encourage employees and customers to become actively involved in events and initiatives to help raise money. What's more, we've gone green for Macmillan! As part of our ongoing commitment to reduce carrier bag usage, we have introduced a small 2p charge for all carrier bags. As well as having a positive impact on the environment, proceeds raised from the sale of the bags will go to Macmillan.
David Wild, Chief Executive at Halfords says: "We are very excited to be in partnership with Macmillan. There are a staggering two million people living with cancer in the UK and we hope that with the support of colleagues and customers at over 460 stores, we will be able to help Macmillan in their ambition to reach everyone that is affected."
Charles Byrne, Head of Events and Corporate Partnerships at Macmillan says, "We are really pleased to have been chosen as Halfords' charity partner. Not only will it help to raise much needed funds for people affected by cancer but we hope it will help us to increase awareness of our services, particularly amongst men."
