Rated 3.4 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.Rated 3 out of 5 by WidespreadFrost Not for a Van! I purchased this to replace a vintage Woollies inflator. It says on the box that its accurate to 1 psi at 50psi, great for my Transit for which the tyres operate at 50psi. It shows a car, a van and a caravan on the box, so should be suitable. Unfortunately, on opening the box and reading the manual, it turns out that it only does 50psi on bicycle tyres, not car or van tyres which are limited to 40psi. So no use for me (I have a bicycle, but I wouldn't want to carry something that heavy around with it). Also, having immediately put it on charge, two days later it was still showing not fully charged, so more than likely the battery was faulty too (lead acid batteries suffer if left in the shop for long periods without a charge). I took it back and Halfords refunded without any problem. I've given it three stars because I expect its fine if you don't need more than 40psi, and the design seems reasonable. 30 June 2016Rated 4 out of 5 by Chris83uk Good quality product The build quality is good. Easy and intuitive to use. The 12V and USB sockets are an added bonus. Would be useful if the target pressure could be set so the unit would switch off automatically. The unit has a screw thread on the inflation hose, which causes a little air to be lost when removing, but this is easily compensated for with a little over-inflation. 15 May 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by brown01 present Very reliable.... good present.... happy husband.. 17 November 2015Rated 5 out of 5 by G3OZN Does the job well I find this faultless, I am not easy to please so say this with no hesitation. Tried the Halfords cheaper model first but found it akward to use, so swapped (and paid more!) for this model. It is a very sturdy well made bit of kit. 01 September 2015Rated 4 out of 5 by Verified Reviewer Decent Product, some things to note..! This is a cordless self powering (once charged of course) tyre inflator, and yes it does do what it says on the box. However, one thing to note is to insure that you press and hold the yellow button next to the PSI display before connecting to your tyre, this is the "reset" feature, otherwise it may not show your actual tyre pressure. If after reset this still does not show your tyre pressure, disconnect, turn off, turn on and reset the button once again, then it should give you your correct tyre pressure and is reasonably accurate. Mine appears to be 1.5 PSI out or so when compared to a non digital gauge I use to check my tyre pressure. It is a good product, do not get frustrated if the digital gauge on this machine does not show correct tyre pressure straight away, just follow the steps in the troubleshooting guide, which is basically what i have described above. -------------------------------------------------- Although this is a rechargeable product, I would have expected for this product to ALSO have a feature to allow it to be operated with no charge, by allowing a connection to a car's 12v socket incase the internal battery fails to hold charge. ------------------------------------------------- Apart from that its an excellent product, just have to know how to use it..!! So far so good, and based on performance thus far i would recommend it. 18 September 2014Rated 2 out of 5 by Graydog7 Unreliable, No target pressure setting I purchased this 7 months ago and was surprised to find that unlike the cheaper Halford inflator, it did not allow you to set a target pressure. So you have to keep your eye on it to avoid over inflation, especially on bike tyres. I've used it about 5 times since then and it does the job. I've gone to use it today only to find that although it is fully charged, reset, and fused the pump is no longer working. Luckily the lamp and the USB sockets still work so I can call the AA ;O) 09 July 2014Rated 4 out of 5 by Andrew62 Great features Impressed with quality, solid and easy to use Nice extra features, motor quiet and efficient Would like to know why you have to inflate by one more psi over the required level 19 January 2014Rated 1 out of 5 by Willden Sad to say but very disappointed Being near to my 88th birthday I thought a bit of help in keeping my car tyres at the correct pressures led to me purchasing this over priced rubbish.Imagine my dismay when I found the pressure gauge reading only 6 psi when I knew my tyre was at 32 psi.Unable to print what my thoughts were but will leave it to your imagination. The only good thing was Halfords service who returned my cash without a quibble. 05 January 2014
