Halfords Alloy Bike Pump is rated out of 5 by 8.Rated 4 out of 5 by MHunt from Pump good Instructions poor I was given this pump as a gift and was really surprised (as others have said) at the lack of information with the pump. I have only recently bought my bike after about a 25 year gap since last cycled and was not familiar with the different valves. The tiny pictures on the card packaging were confusing (in fact I would say they labelled Schrader and Presta wrong as far as I can tell). I couldnt understand the thumb lock either. There is a picture but it does not make it clear which is on and which is off. Thank goodness for You Tube, but that should not be necessary. There is loads of blank cardboard in the packaging which could be filled with clearer instructions for us novice bikers. Having said all that it is a great little pump. Compact, light weight, and easy to use once I did my researchDate published: 2017-10-26Rated 4 out of 5 by Kax1963 from Sturdy This pump is sturdy and lightweight, it can be attached to the bike and is easily removed when neededDate published: 2017-06-27Rated 3 out of 5 by Starswim from The product is fine..... But where are the basic instructions on the valve part types?Whilst I don't need extensive explanation on the difference between a Presta and Schrader valve it would be useful I'd the parts were numbered to ensure a novice can quickly switch the valve parts. It's irritating to have to waste time and would make me choose a branded product where they bother to give minimum instructions.Date published: 2016-11-01Rated 4 out of 5 by Jakecake from Nice little pump there are no instructions on how to change to nozzle to fit a presta valve. Here they are, twist the black cap off, there is a soft black cylinder inside, pull that out. there is a green plastic part inside, pull that out and turn it around. they put it back in the with black plastic bit and screw back on. Hope this helps. Took me ages to figure this out but it works perfect once you have done all that.Date published: 2015-06-20Rated 5 out of 5 by LukeSS from Compact, light and strong I'd recommend this pump to any commuter. It's simple but sturdy and light enough to be taken in your bag everyday without noticing.Date published: 2012-05-29Rated 4 out of 5 by stud91 from A good bike pump A basic pump which can pump my tyres up effeciently. Small enough to attach to my bike or fit in my bag and also lightweight make it ideal for travel.Date published: 2011-09-08Rated 4 out of 5 by BoozyDave from God for the price Small and fits to the bike easily, but I wouldn't want to inflate a whole tyre with this. Great for topping tyres up on the move but do not imagine you can use only this pump alone. You're better off with a track pump at home. Fits Schraeder and Presta valves with a fiddly adjustment.Date published: 2011-05-01Rated 4 out of 5 by shamone from Good Buy Good quality cost effective pump, very compact & inflates tyres with ease.Date published: 2011-03-15
