Bikehut Touring & Race Bike Tyre Liners is rated out of 5 by 11.Rated 5 out of 5 by Ben4033 from Brilliant - If you apply a little thought! What happened to some of the other reviewers also happend to me. A puncture caused by the liner join. However, this is so easy to avoid. I simply cut some of the old inner tube and fitted this as a 'sleeve' around the tube for extra protection, at the point where the tube meets the liner joint. It worked perfectly, and I've gone from 2-3 commute punctures per month, to nil in 6 months! They really do work, if you take a little time to consider the joint issue.Date published: 2018-04-18Rated 1 out of 5 by PirateFrank from Stay away from it: it causes punctures! After people at halfords recommended it, I installed carefully paying attention at the joint. I haven't found no way to fix it: the joint after a while always damages the inner tube and causes a puncture in less than 100miles.. After 3 punctures caused by the joint I removed it and I'm better off now. This product should be retired from sale and customers should be reinboused for the cost and damagesDate published: 2018-02-25Rated 1 out of 5 by cedricbiker from Sorry, but useless I used these on my road bike and after 3 rear wheel punctures and eventually a front wheel one, I've ditched them. All the punctures occurred at the join.Date published: 2017-06-13Rated 1 out of 5 by Flatagain from Useless Tyre liner pinches tube and causes punctures. Why is this still on sale when this product has consistently been reviewed in this way for the past 3 years???Date published: 2016-05-21Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Totally useless Pretty suspicious when saw recommended overlap in instructions. Sure enough the overlap edge caused the puncture in less than 100 miles. Just payed to get another puncture. Worse than useless.Date published: 2016-04-28Rated 1 out of 5 by TwoTyred from Causes punctures Have had numerous punctures since fitting these. Always ride with the correct tyre pressures but the edges of the liners (and not just at the join) rub away at the inner tubes and cause punctures. At first I thought I was just being unlucky as punctures were always right at the edge and possibly still vulnerable to thorns etc.. Since removing them I have had noticeably fewer punctures. Awful, awful product. Don't bother.Date published: 2015-09-11Rated 1 out of 5 by mikethedumplinmuncher from Nice idea, but does not work. Fitted one of these to the rear of my slick tyred MTB despite being careful fitting the liner the join of the liner would rub a hole in the inner tube, I tried feathering the two ends with sand papet and a couple of different types of tape over the joint but all to no avail, after a few days the ends would still wear through the inner tube, eventually gave up, so nice idea and very strong material which not much would get past but needs some more development.Date published: 2015-07-25Rated 1 out of 5 by Salter from Pinch puncture specials Bought these for both road & country on a hybrid bike. Had five pinch punctures since. Can't be anything but the liner. The tube shows abrasion marks in a line & not a typical single hole puncture. Had my final one today 6 miles from car on a cross country 26 miler. Really bad product! Don't bother... & the tubes were correctly inflated in case you think not.Date published: 2014-07-04
