Carrera Crossfire 1 Womens Hybrid Bike - 16", 18", 20" Frames is rated out of 5 by 31.Rated 5 out of 5 by KLW1 from Excellent hybrid bike offering value for money Very pleased with this bike which has been used on a variety of surfaces including rough canal towpaths, gravel trails through the New Forest and Forest of Dean, short wet grass and some road use. It's well built, offers a smooth ride and positive gear changes. The saddle feels hard on longer rides but a gel cushion on the top soon transforms it although the saddle may be replaced in time. 18" frame size will accommodate my 34" inside leg with ease whereas several bikes of the same frame size don't. With the wheels removed it will even fit into a small Matiz hatchback. Excellent service from Halfords in Hereford with helpful, knowledgeable staff, particularly Fin who went out of his way to ensure I had my bike ready the following day and carried it to the car for me.Date published: 2018-09-10Rated 2 out of 5 by Heyheyhey from Carrera to carrera I started using my daughters carrera crossfire to commute to work after having my subway 1 hybrid nicked. Wow what a difference! Everything about the crossfire feels cheap and liable to break at any time. I like the more upright stance of the riding position but I have to say .. that is all. I didn’t realise there was such a difference between bikes. Definitely recommend hiring out a bike or ‘trying out a friend’s’ before purchase.Date published: 2018-06-24Rated 4 out of 5 by Coachclark from Comfortable commuter bike After a lot of procrastination, reviewing of various other bikes and 2 visits to Halfords I finally decided on the Crossfire 1. I needed a comfy bike for my commute to and from work along roads that are in places very poor, I didn't want skinny tyres/wheels due to the poor state of the roads and didn't want to have to deal with too many punctures, nor did I want racing handlebars as I didn't think my back would appreciate this as well as a rucksack. I have found this bike to be fairly comfortable, not sure if I like the seat and will be asking if the position can be changed or I may get a new wider seat. The left hand side gears can be a little tricky but I have found as I become more familiar with them they are becoming easier. The right hand gears are nice and easy to manage. Brakes are good. I had some gel or something put in the tyres which would mean should I have a puncture I can get home. I was disappointed that I was unable to have a pannier rack fitted, this is due to the fact that I am vertically challenged and have to have the seat on the lowest setting, I could have had panniers had I bought the 16'' frame but was concerned that my knees may have been up by my chin with a smaller frame. All in all I am pleased with this bike and would recommend to othersDate published: 2018-06-02Rated 5 out of 5 by Ayka from Good Bike Good Price We bought the bike for my wife. She loves it, feels very comfortable.Date published: 2018-05-14Rated 4 out of 5 by Stefaniaxxxxx from Nice bike I bought this bike in october last year, and it is really good, l use it every day to go to work, strong bike and fast. The reason why l did not put 5 star is because the tiers aren't good quality, every now and then l had a punture!!! it was very annoying, so l went to a shop and they suggested me to put antiflat tier instead an that cost me nearly £100 !!!Date published: 2018-03-13Rated 5 out of 5 by BSJ45 from Very comfortable This is my first bike since being a kid. I was well advised in the Halfords store that this was a good bike for the sorts of quite rides that I'll be starting off on. Really lovely bike!Date published: 2018-03-11Rated 3 out of 5 by Em1981 from Does the job but wouldn’t buy again This bike is a smooth ride but the frame is heavy and awkward shape don’t expect to beable to attach a bike lock to it which is annoying for 250 I expected better. My old second hand 80s bikes had lighter frames. I find the seat too wide and uncomfortable. Tires aren’t great got a puncher in first week of purchase. Overall it does the job for daily commute but it’s heavy not what you want in a modern hybrid.Date published: 2017-11-30Rated 5 out of 5 by Lennie70 from Bike I bought this bike from seeing it online, I love it. It’s so easy to ride especially as I haven’t ridden a bike for a long time.Date published: 2017-10-22
