Halfords Peelable Paint Black is rated out of 5 by 8.Rated 5 out of 5 by RiRi2012 from Prefect! Great results I bought this after seeing plasti-dip online and the Halfords one came up, so I decided to give it ago as was cheaper.I have to say is very easy to use after the first time didn’t go the best as I did it to much on the first coat. So I tried to peel as I was worried I wouldn’t get it off but it peeled straight off my grill it didn’t even take me 5 minutes. The 2nd time I did my grill I did it a lot lighter over the area and gave about 4 coats which was more than enough and didn’t even use half of the can. This has now been on 3 months and I wash my car atleast 2 times a week and it has stayed on prefect you don’t have to worry about washing the area. I’ve also done my center caps on wheels 3 months ago and they are still looking great. So if you want to spray something on your car but want to be able to take it off if you don’t like it then this is what you need. Just make sure you do it lightly don’t worry about covering the area straight away just take your time and build up the layers and give about 40 minutes after last coat before driving.Date published: 2018-10-13Rated 2 out of 5 by Fiesta7 from NOT GOOD FOR ALLOYS I brought this after a staff member recommended this instead of plasti dip. I did more than enough coats as it states on the tin and left of over the recommended amount of time and I drove for 15-20 mins and 1/2 the paint had either faded or pulled off. I wouldn’t buy this again for alloys or wheel trims but manybe for thing indoors that won’t be used as it comes off super easy (too easy) and it’s more exspenisve than the plasti dip So buy that instead.Date published: 2018-08-29Rated 5 out of 5 by BigScoobyboy from Very good Bought to do my silver trim and top of the drawers on my tool box at work, good coverage, took a whole can and its been om a week and all is still goodDate published: 2018-07-01Rated 4 out of 5 by OLLIEwinz from Does what it says on the tin Okay so people who are saying this didnt last on their alloy weels and etc ..how do you expect it to stay black when its getting covered in brake dust. If you want a proper finish for wheels and body panels then you shouldnt be using spray cans.this stuff is for blacking out emblems and trim which it does perfect well as long as you dont mask off the actual emblem as when you de mask the area the plastifip will peel off with it.Date published: 2018-05-29Rated 1 out of 5 by Jonas76 from Never again! It says its plasti dip kinda thing but really its not. You cant peel it properly it takes hours to peel it off. I done 8 coats with it and still cant peel it off. :// What a rubbish product!Date published: 2017-12-27Rated 1 out of 5 by Scoobysnaxxx from Waste of my time and money Lasted couple of weeks at most before it started to peel off. It shouldn't of been approved for use because there is no real use for it why would you want a temporary coating ? Waste of money let alone my time and effort. Doubt halfords will do anything about it. Don't waste your time with this productDate published: 2017-12-13Rated 3 out of 5 by Lukeworrell2 from Key word is TEMPORARY 1st Tin of paint went on fine sprayed my bumper plastics after cleaning with Halfords paint preparation wipes I was happy with the finish so decided to do my alloy wheels cleaned up the same again sprayed my rear wheels the. When it came to my 2nd tin on the front wheels for some reason rather than a stain finish it was a gloss finish which made my car look odd but I lived with it.anyway after a week the front bumper plastic began to peel then a couple of weeks after the rear started to peel so rather than having patchy plastics I set to work 'peeling' it off which is easier said than done I found the easiest way was to get a pressure washer right up close and spray it off.Any way wouldn't advise doing wheels because the couloir has faded to grey even after a good thorough wash they still havnt come up. What I will say is though I used this to see if I liked the look of my wheels being black so at a later date I could get them powder coated so it's not to bad I suppose just don't expect it to last for more than a week or two.Date published: 2017-08-03Rated 4 out of 5 by jordan1001 from very good Halfords Peelable Paint Black isvery good and easy to use no messDate published: 2017-06-25
