<span itemprop="description">If you really don't want to spend £400+ on an Apple Play / Android Car play system quite yet, this little gadget spices up your old stereo as long as it ideally has an accessible AUX port.
To be fair DAB performance will never be as good as a factory fitted dab aerial in modern cars, however as long as you haven't a heated front windscreen, this unit is 80-85% there. I had a Halfords fitted Pure Highway H260DBI stereo, and it was rubbish for DAB reception, mostly due to the poor quality aerial Halfords supplied.
I've fitted two of these Highway 600 units myself, and when fitted correctly, work well handsfree and for DAB. Halfords staff unfortunately have been the root cause of most issues, firstly the microphone fitting is usually the issue. You have to be brave and fully push in the jack into the receiver unit so it is totally flush, admittedly Pure could have made the receiver input socket look more robust, as it looks like you could crack the flimsy case edge, but be brave and fully seat in flush BEFORE trying to fit receiver into windscreen. The handsfree function is good, the bad is the LED illumination of the buttons, they did not backlight all buttons, so in the dark hitting call pickup is hit and miss.
The supplied aerial has an additional magnetic earth connection, it's purpose is to boost the DAB reception in "poor reception areas", ideally you can slide it under your car interior roof magnet facing the metal roof of course! If it sticks, job done.
I've lost signal, heard the dreaded gurgling noises in certain areas, HOWEVER it is in no way as bad as my original first dab car radio system, that one was just appalling.
If you fit and get very few stations or none at all, and you have a Front Dash cam, power off the dashcam, if that resolves the reception issue, then start investigating fitting ferrite clip-on clamps on both ends of the power feed to your dashcam. Luckily I did not have this issue with either of my dashcams, (Nextbase 312gw & Kenwood drv-830.
In terms of connecting to your stereo, stick with the aux port, if you can't , then just give up and replace the whole stereo doing some research on the quality of the dab Aerial beforehand. The FM transmitter option is just another interference prone annoyance.
In regards to connecting your phone via BLUETOOTH, the device will pair up to 3 devices, HOWEVER, will only pair one device to the Pure GO app. YOU DO NOT NEED TO PAIR VIA PURE GO APP TO USE HANDFREE CALLING, Apple SIRI functionality via your phone still works, no need to hit the Siri button on the Highway 600,
Where the PURE GO APP may need to be used is for Spotify streaming, so only set-up one phone, having already paired that phone with 'BT MUSIC' option. I don't personally stream, do I never have tried to stream music, but would not be at all surprised if it played streamed music direct without the need for Pure Go app, but you won't be able to add songs you hear on the radio to your Spotify playlist without the app.
Last thing, there is a firmware update v2.20 released 2017. DO THE UPDATE BEFORE FITTING, once you upload the update, turn on the controller unit, at it then forces the update on the receiver unit, takes about 7-10 mins to complete. Can be done after install, but means you have to get a laptop in the car and connect to the usb power lead to upload the file to the receiver unit.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I bought this for my wife as she wanted more choice of music in her car. The kit itself was easy to install. I have spoken to her using the hands free and that works well, but there are some occasional issues with the radio cutting out, but I think this is signal more than an issue with the product.</span>
