TomTom Rider 42 Motorcycle Sat Nav with Europe Maps is rated out of 5 by 5.Rated 5 out of 5 by Triumph12 from Good Good well made satnav easy to use but a bit too sensitive, easy to fitDate published: 2017-10-16Rated 3 out of 5 by pme1 from Where are we!!! First point, did not read the manual in depth, these things should be intuitive, its not. The total journey was about 800km down through France, no motorways, no tolls. It was a nice route over two and a half days. Several wrong directions on tiny roads, luckily we were on motorbikes. Route instruction suddenly stopped and rerouted, very irritating. Distance to turn was on occaisions way out. Both of us had the same gps, mine was latest software, the other was out of the box three weeks ago. We stopped and compared cock ups and they did not agree totally! The additional bonus software from mytires or whatever was not worth bothering with, again not intuitive, thank god i did not pay the 49 euro for it! I have a basic Garmin in my car which has been fine, and with hindsight, and ignoring a lot of reviews for the Tom Tom I should have bought the Garmin motorcycling version, probably a more common interface for me to use.Date published: 2017-09-18Rated 5 out of 5 by 6293 from Tomtom Rider 42 Great product, also got a great deal on this & saved around £50.00, with my saving i bought a Scala headset so no more wires, this Tomtom is very robust.Date published: 2017-09-18Rated 4 out of 5 by Nanookotn from Does what it says. I bought the Tomtom because it had traffic updates (via phone link) when the Garmin did not. The TomTom does all it should and seems to do it well. Wiring in was simple and it offers rotating mount bezel so you can have it horizontally or vertically (which Garmin does not). Downsides: no 3.5mm jack socket so bluetooth the only option of earpiece (Garmin does have socket) and no option of bigger screen, which I would have liked. Everything required in the box to mount the Tomtom to standard round section handlebar - as with the Garmin. Ideally I'd combine the Tomtom and the Garmin and get the best of both.Date published: 2017-09-05Rated 5 out of 5 by Harry727 from Great sat nav, easy to fit to bike. Very happy with this sat nav as it is a very good, solid product and comes with all the brackets etc necessary to fit to your motorbike.Date published: 2017-09-01
