Each engine component is securely fastened using head bolts, or cylinder head bolts as they are commonly known. Made of robust metal, they are unlikely to wear out with general wear and tear, but are known to stretch as they connect the cylinder head to the engine. Because of this, we do not recommend that you reuse head bolts when fitting a new cylinder head or other engine parts around it. Head bolts are available in different sizes and are designed specifically for your vehicle, so it’s important to find the correct bolts for your car.
