  • Coyote Connect Folding Electric Bike is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 75.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome wee electric bike which fits in my boot I have a folding bike which was second hand, so wanted to upgrade this and get something new. I also have limited space in my flat, so required a folding bike which will stay in my car. I have a Ford Ka, so again, space is limited as it's not the biggest of cars. This bike fits in no problem. Not only is this bike easy to assemble, it also electric. Another plus! This helps big time with commuting to and from work. I tested this out on the Clyde Walkway. A journey which would normally take 20-25 minutes was cut down to 13 minutes at one point. I also tested this from my mums house to work, 8.5km journey which takes 32 minutes total. This would have normally taken me 50 minutes on my other folding bike. Would highly recommend this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it!! I wish I'd got this ages ago.Was hating getting 2 buses to work now I am in control of my journey.I was slightly worried about the reviews about the battery life and punctures but I find that the low setting gets me up the hills (which aren't very steep ) The staff were great in Selly Oak store .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy Love this bike. I do a 3 mile each way commute to work every day, if I drive, with the rush hour traffic it takes me 25mins, if walk it takes 45mins. I've tried biking there a few times but because there are a couple of inclines on route I arrive at work hot, red in the face and not at all ready to start Work! I thought this bike would be the perfect solution and it is. It's all cycle path to work and I can do it easily in 15mins and arrive fresh and I enjoy the ride. I can take the bike inside and fold to store it safely while I'm there. I've also been out for a 7 mile ride along the seafront with my daughter, she found it a little hard going on her mountain bike in places, but to me it was effortless. My daughter is also very impressed with this little ebike. Folding and unfolding is very straight forward. It's comfortable and easy to ride. Gears are nice and smooth, brakes are good and It's plenty enough for me. It doesn't feel heavy generally, only when trying to left when folded, I'm a woman in my 50s and I can pick it up to move short distances, or load into a car, but I wouldn't want to tackle stairs with it, but please don't let this put you off, its doesnt spoil my enjoyment. I do think ebikes and their batteries are priced very high overall, but I actually think this one offers great value for money for what you get. I highly recommend it for leisure and commuting purposes. Very pleased with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Coyote Connect has lots going for it. I have just ridden my new Coyote Connect for the first time & I was very impressed, a lot to like. The electric motor cut in with the first turn of the peddles & I just flew. It took only a short distance to get the hang of the gears/electric motor power levels. As I said this was my first ride & if it continues to preform as it has today, then I'm on to a winner.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Battery very poor The battery on this bike lasted two years. They should cost £375 to replace (75% of the cost of the bike!). There have been none available in the UK for three months. This appears to be a poor value battery that comes with a disposable bike...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very suited with bike for the money The bike is of good quality and build it’s what’s expected for a folding bike it’s not built for speed but there again if you needed that you would of gone for an appropriate bike to do so Overall I’m suitably impressed the electric power does its job in making the ride more pleasurable without breaking a sweat it’ll do me and my partner who is also pleased with her bike for leasurely bike rides and if we fancy a change fold them up put them in the car and cycle in a different location.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good buy for me and good value for money I ordered this bike on line and Halfords built it for me and allowed me to test drive it before I paid and commited to it. I loved it. I struggle with the hills and slopes in our area and they are a piece of cake with this bike. It was a good price and with being able to fold it up, if I did get to work and I was picked up, we can get the bike in the car! It is heavier than a normal bike when lifting it. They put the basket and lights I bought on for me ....but I think electric bikes should have built in lights connected though !

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, not great. Ok, so a lot of good points have been made in other reviews, and all good and bad points have pretty much been covered, but I'll throw my 2 cents in. Off the bat I should say I have a very good carbon road bike so I think that kind of jeopardises my view. I bought the Coyote because I hate leaving my Road bike anywhere as i like it so much and so never use it much. So my plan was to try out the Coyote then sell the road bike but now I'm in two minds. I'd go as far to say that the gears are pretty pathetic, and as soon as you reach the initial 15mph the motor gives you that's pretty much it. I must say that some of the other reviewers must be weightlifters, because this bike is so uncomfortably heavy and it is a major issue. Forget carrying this about much. The biggest issue which isn't a bad review point because it's a necessary evil has to be changing a rear puncture. It's an absolutely pointless task to even try and do it yourself. Just don't bother. Fold up the bike, get the bus or train and take it back to Halfords for them to do it. It's just not worth the hassle. All the other plus points are true. Unless you encounter some huge hills on your commute, you arrive at work feeling like you've been carried there. Literally zero effort. Big hills are a not great with it and if the battery runs out on a long ride then you're pretty stuffed. You can get a replacement battery on eBay on for 160quid with 4 months interest free from PayPal so that's worth considering. Thanks
