Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 194 reviewers.Rated 5 out of 5 by master8 Excellent bike Brought it few weeks ago. First you need to get to use the gear change and which gear will be best for you coz I find the first gear too light for me. Those staffs at Derby wyvern are very helpful. Thank you 02 September 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Lanky94 Almost perfect I recently purchased this after wreaking my old bike. I decided to invest in this bike rather than get a cheap bike which would only last me a year. I'm 6"5" and he 21 inch frame is a really good size unlike other hybrid style bike which always feel a bit small for me. They brakes were quite soft when I initially got the bike but after a bit of tweaking the breaks feel really responsive. Admitted I haven't tested them in wet conditions. A bike with hydraulic disk breaks might be a better option, for some people if they ride in all weather conditions and in my experience they do better in the wet. Overall the suspension is okay for the money and type of bike that it is. It would have been nice to have a lockout but if you adjust the suspension to be more ridge it more than fine for most people. The gearing is solid and responsive with plenty option for tackling the hills and you can get good speed on the flats thanks to the 700c tyres. Overall if you don't mind making a little investment I think the bike is definitely worth the money and for the price you can have a quick and study bike than will be enough for anyone's commuting needs 23 August 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Tom808 Great bike for the price! Got this bike to back into cycling and it's perfect, great bike for the price with extras that you would get on more expensive bikes. I use it on the country roads, coast roads and so far this bike can handle it, very happy with it:) 18 August 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Barnab Superb bike for the price. This bike offers quality components for the price it is sold at. I brought the bike for £239.99 very reasonable I feel. I previously rode a trek mountain bike and when I brought the new carrera home and compared the 2 bikes it turned out that most of the components such as the gears and the brakes and suspension. Are exactly the same. And I gather most bike manufacturers use the same components essentially the only difference is a tiny bit of build quality and the price. It's a bit like VW and skoda. A VW polo is the same car as a skoda Fabia but the VW is a £5,000 more because of the badge it wears. On t the bike then the bike offers great com fort thanks to the saddle and the unto ur suspension offer a good absorbsion of bumps. Being able to change the preload is great as I'm a rider who does a lot of old railway track riding so I can adjust it accordingly. Also if I'm riding on road I do like a bit of suspension even though it uses up a bit of energy because of the adding comfort and safety it prvides. The gears are fantastic pounce again the shims on Altus and tourney gears are fab static and so are the shim and trigger shifters. Much better than SRAMs. The frame is fairly light could be lighter but it can be easily lifted to go on roof bike rack. Handlebars are nice and responsive and the grips are second to non e easily the best grips I've had on a bike they are nicely shaped to your hand to provide maximum comfort. High pressure tyres are great they provide a nice balance of grip between on and off road. The frame also prvides pannier and mud guard mounts which is really useful if your doing some muddy riding or you want somewhere to put your stuff on the bike. People who are looking at this bike and thinking its a mountain bike for the road. Well it isn't it's a road bike for off road. The difference being its well designed for road riding lik it's relatively thin tyres but has got feature like suspension to be able to ride off road. The only thing that in my opinion is the difference between this bike and some top end hybrids is the badge carrera on the side. And that's reflected in the price you pay. 15 August 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Gray27 Great all rounder I wanted a hybrid bike for local park rides and road cycling and this fits the bill perfectly. Disc brakes and front suspension work well, and gear changes, although not refined, are decent. Would highly recommend for someone looking for their first bike, or looking to return to cycling after an absence. 28 July 2016Rated 4 out of 5 by Phil621 Good bike- so/so service Ordered online and the bike was ready from the next afternoon because it was in stock. Daniel who looked after me in store when picking it up was great and very knowledgeable, but it seems the rest of the guys were lacking a bit of enthusiasm. My Dad also picked up his bike on the same day, but one of the staff didn't even click that the bike came with instructions. We asked him, he said no there weren't any and then suddenly found them. Not the biggest mistake but when they are one of the top bike retailers in the country you would think they know that bikes come with instructions. Overall a good bike, but service from some staff could be better. 29 August 2016Rated 4 out of 5 by Bikesnbiscuits Good for the price. For the price its not bad at all. The 700 wheels provide a better road speed and handling than 26inch, at the same time they are robust enough to cope with cycle tracks and paths, the front suspension does a fair job at absorbing vibration but wish it did have a lockout. All in all for short commutes and fays out it does a good job. I chose it as it also lends its self well to being converted to an electric assisted bike, the conversion whent without a hitch. 15 August 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by biker76 Excellent Service Great hybrid bike-so much more comfortable and manouervable compare to previous mountain bike. The service at Halfords Leighton Buzzard was excellent. Bike built and ready in less than 24 hours and communication was also exvcellent. 09 August 2016
