Carrera Crossfire 2 Mens Hybrid Bike - Black - 17", 19", 21" Frames is rated out of 5 by 67.Rated 5 out of 5 by nbendeavor from value for money Overall a very satisfactory bike. Gearing is more than adequate for my needs, although if you want to be picky yes they are at times clunky. Brakes are again adequate and can be noisy when wet. Tyres are a little less grippy than I am used to. So possibly will upgrade these in the future. I have moved from a basic mountain to a hybrid mainly for speed. I have had the bike for about a week and around 100 miles of various surfaces travelled.Date published: 2017-11-12Rated 5 out of 5 by Janee04 from Brilliant bike Perfect for all types of riding, has to be one of the best hybrid bikes out there. My son thinks I am the best mum ever and is riding every day!Date published: 2017-10-08Rated 5 out of 5 by PRS513 from From an old 'un. I purchased this bike 2 days ago, having once owned a Carrera, so I expected a good machine, I am not disappointed. The quality is very good, and the mechanics are great. Leaving the store to ride home is all up-bank, but the range of gears made the trip very easy, as a 75 year old this pleased me no end!!. The only alteration I have made is to fit a more cofortable seat( see prior age).Date published: 2017-10-07Rated 5 out of 5 by Hixson142 from Great bike Excellent customer service and brilliant build quality I use the bike every day as my commute to work and mountain biking on my days off I've had no issues with any part of the bike and would highly recommend to anyoneDate published: 2017-10-06Rated 5 out of 5 by SmoothRider from This bike reminded me why I loved cycling I've been using a rather cheap end bike for a while. I hadn't rode a bike in a while and I recall clearly how I felt when I got my cheaper bike. The carerra is light, smooth, fast and durable. It feels solid and the ride is amazing. I use it to go to work and gym most of the week to get some fitness in. I've always been a carrera fan. I tried other bikes but so far carerra hava been my best ride. My only gripe is some of the mechanics in the gears look plastic. I haven't absolutely checked by I suspect they are. I'd rather have metal for durability. Then again the bike is not stellar expensive.Date published: 2017-09-21Rated 5 out of 5 by DJStrange from Great leisure bike or first bike I bought two bikes, a lady's and gent's, both black. Very smart looking bikes, well built and good equipment list. I had these delivered and quickly started assembling them. My only gripe is that the handbook has a list of torque settings to tighten the various allen key bolts to - these were all in fact the wrong torque settings and I broke the handlebar clamp on one bike due to overtightening. On inspection I found the correct torque printed on a label on the underside of the stem which I hadn't seen before tightening. Luckily I had a spare from another bike but my advice to anyone else is IGNORE THE BOOK TORQUES, check over the bike first and find the correct torque settings on the little stickers or engravings. Riding the bike is a pleasure, comfortable ride, good gear changes, efficient braking. I've been out on roads, footpaths and forest trails so far plus a few short downhill scrambles across mossy roots or shiny pebbles to avoid steps and the bike has been stable and confidence inspiring.Date published: 2017-09-20Rated 4 out of 5 by malbs from Good Value for money Overall a good quality bike for the money. Good for a person with basic requirements of cycling either around town or on bike tracks .Date published: 2017-09-03Rated 3 out of 5 by saschlet from Great bar 1 thing! Everything about this bike is fine except the fact that your feet bump the wheel when you turn. This is very irritating (I have the smallest size frame, 17 I think). There is no solution. The problem with the smaller frame is it's closer to the wheel. Major design flaw. Great shame.Date published: 2017-09-03
