VooDoo Marasa Hybrid BikeThe VooDoo Marasa Hybrid Bike is the perfect mix of business and fun; it's great for commuting to work as well as getting out and exploring on the weekend. A lightweight aluminium frame and rigid fork helps keep the speed up and the maintenance down, and 27 speed Shimano gearing really shows off how versatile this hybrid is; weaving in and out of traffic or bombing down country lanes is no problem. Tektro hydraulic disc brakes give reassuring stopping power whatever the conditions, and the 700c wheels are wrapped with multi-surface Kenda tyres. The Marasa has a dual personality that suits those who prefer to head home via the road less travelled.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 43 reviewers.Rated 5 out of 5 by ThePurpleMan Best value for the price I use the Voodoo purely for leisure. 25km a run about twice or if I'm lucky three times a week. Mainly use on road but also do off-road / trails with the little ones. Super bike and great value. Don't worry about lack of suspension as the suspension on bikes in this price bracket is a waste of money. Very reliable bike, no complaints and fantastic value. You can't raise the handlebars on this one so make sure you are sized properly for the bike, otherwise it's a pair of padded gloves for any decent spin. 04 September 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Strideruk Great bike 1st bought a road bike because I couldn't run as much as I use too. So I needed other ways of keeping fit, i deciided on cycling. Halford St Helens help me to choose a bike,. So I chose I road bike but after 2 day of riding it, I just wasn't confidence in ride a road bike. I took I back to St Helens store and they were so helpful. After looking through half a dozen hybrid bike all were sold out. Before I was ready to leave store until the manager told me about this bike & asked me did he want him to build it & see how I felt about it. A few hour later it was ready. It looked beautiful, smooth, 27 gears & a lovely colour. They even cut some of the seat bar down so I would be more suitable. I took it home & had a little ride with my son. Very smooth breaks & gears. I'm over the moon with it. I took the 3 years labor for £40 bargin. Looking forward to many years of happy cycling. 20 August 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Mikejt71 Why did I not buy a hybrid ages ago! Firstly, Halfords Widnes were brilliant. I ordered this on the Cycle to work Scheme...but before I had my authorisation. No worries they said. We'll keep it until you do. It came and I went to collect. What accessories...hadn't planned that...he waitem patiently whilst I wandered the display looking. Very helpful. Now, the bike. I know it's not a top end one...so not expecting top end performance... But...it has 27 gears and hydraulic brakes! Bonus especially at that price Looks great in those colours. Comfy too... I got this for work and leisure too. It's much lighter than my MTB (a couple of kgs more than my road bike) But I managed my fastest times to and from work. It's got good road rolling abilities with the added bonus of being able to cut off and take a bit of rough if need be. I would recommend this bike 100% for the commuter and leisure riders... If you're deadly serious about biking you will no doubt spend much more...for me...this is a perfect middle ground bike.... Cheers Halfords Widnes. 17 August 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by TonyIps fantastic I got this on Thursday and rode 110 miles on Saturday. A nice comfy ride, needed a fee tweeks to the ride position but that is to be expected. Surprisingly much more shock absorbing than my old hybrid with front suspension. Nice smooth gears, light and good wheels. I got the last one and a bargin at £216. I can't imagin a better bike for the price. Thanks to Adam for setting it up so well in Halfords Ipswich. 14 August 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Wheeltapper04 Voodoo Marasa I bought the bike from Halfords approximately 2 years ago. Halfords built the bike and they did a superb job. Everything worked as exactley as it should. The bike is light weight and easy to ride with a good seating position. It is very well made and finished. The ride is very smooth and free running with no annoying wiggles or wobbles. Quite simply it is by far the best bike I have ever owned. Sadly, my Marasa was stolen from outside my local library. Whilst I have reported the matter to the Police I am not confidant that I will ever see it again. In view of the satisfaction I had withis bike I have now ordered a replacement Marasa from Halfords. Best of all, the bike is on special offer. If the new bike is anything like my original one I will be extremely happy. 10 August 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Mercurial Excellent Machine....but change the tyres Bought the Marasa to ride with my young son, so wanted something suitable for cyclepaths/towpaths and light offroading, but also to run around town when a more focused type of machine would not be suitable. It is basically a rigid MTB frame, is fairly light and feels well built, the drivetrain is suitable for the usage mentioned above, the brakes are reliable components with a predictable feel and response. I have had the bike for almost 2 months through the summer and my one observation is to change the default tyres as soon as possible, they make an overwhelming change to the bike and really make the frame shine. I bought the bike for £240 and for that price I got an absolute bargain of a machine (even factoring in the new tyres). 11 September 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Sean46er Impressed I recently went for the voodoo marasa after narrowing my choice down the marasa or the carrara subway 2. Both bikes had everything I wanted and none of the things I didnt want, like suspension. The 29 inch wheels and narrower tyres tipped it. Both bikes look great. I am very pleased with the bike. The lads at halfords in newton abbot were very helpfull and a pleasure to deal with. One thing I would point out about hybrids is they vary in design a lot from one make to another. This one is born from mountain bike dna some are Road bike based. Do your home work based on your needs. I live on dartmoor and wanted a solid bike with a bit of speed. A racer too fragile, a mountain bike to slow as standard. Didn't want to start changing wheels on a new bike and really wanted 29ers. So the marasa suited me. Its a lovely bike. 26 July 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Nodlesh1 Love this bike I haven't had a bike in years and decided to go for the Marasa. I'm glad I did as its light and goes easily in the back of the car as I don't have a bike rack. Been round Bewl Water on it twice and it is perfect for all terrain on the route. Good gears , good brakes....just very happy with it. Almost didn't get it though as Halfords only had my size in some far off town that I was no way going to collect it from. Something must have changed though as a few days later it said online that the bike could be delivered to my nearest store in Uckfield (maybe Halfords realised potential loss of customers ) 09 September 2016
