VooDoo Bizango 29er Mountain BikeMountain Bike Rider, Hardtail of the year - under £750 "Killer Value with a great ride quality, this bike easily deserves top marks." Rated 10/10!
Halfords acknowledges that Mountain Bike Rider is a Trademark of Time Inc.
A bike that needs no introduction, the VooDoo Bizango 29er Mountain Bike is a trail-destroying beast that has a slew of awards to its name, and it's easy to see why. Bumpy trails are no match for this bike's specs: a 120mm Suntour Raidon air fork soaks up all those bumps like a sponge, and the 20 speed Shimano Deore drivetrain provides an excellent range with smooth changes. The Bizango laughs in the face of mud and obstacles thanks to its large 29" wheels and Maxxis Ardent tyres which provide fantastic traction without slowing you down. If things are getting too hairy, the powerful Shimano hydraulic disc brakes can be relied upon in all weathers, and it's topped off with a finishing kit that provides precise and direct handling. The Bizango is the bike that's always raring to go and sulks when it has to come home.
- Frame: Lightweight double butted aluminium
- Forks: Suntour Raidon 120mm fork with lockout for excellent trail performance

Why not upgrade to the Boardman MTB Comp for SRAM X5 gearing and Avid hydraulic disc brakes.

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 69 reviewers.Rated 5 out of 5 by Argyrios I loved this bike immediately I bought this bike to upgrade my 26er. I had never heard of VOODOO so i looked the reviews. Initially i rejected it and went for a Specialized (which was much more expensive!). I test rided it and the Specialized felt so cheap and pathetic! Then I test rided the Bizango and I knew immediately: this is the bike! The quality gap was enornous!! The Bizango has high quality parts, high spec frame, good geometry, and no need to upgrade any parts. I went to Surrey Hills with this bike twice, Epping Forest once and was great, I cycle on the road and is also fine..! It feels very solid and well built. 06 July 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Barfly Bizango - recommended buy It's been nearly 6 weeks since I bought the Bizango. I've deliberately left it until now to post this review. Short story - this beauty of a bike is highly recommended at this price-point. I waited about a month before buying mine as a birthday present for myself. I waited for a double discount to come on line - money off the bike and a 2 hour 10% flash sale combined. What a bargain! The set up wasn't right with the forks having far too much air pressure but that got easily sorted. The brakes need attention but that's my fault for getting much off on the disks and pads. Top tip - buy a suspension seat post ASAP. My Suntour NCX has improved this bike over 200%. That combined with new Ergon grips and seat have vastly improved the contact points. Well done Halfords - the frame on this bike is amazing and will stand as much upgrading as you see fit to throw on it. 25 June 2016Rated 4 out of 5 by voodooist Latest batch June 16 change of Front Mech spec problem I have built 3 2016 bizangos for friends this year, its a great bike to ride. two of the bikes were set up with 2x10 on the front gear shifter engaged and worked perfectly once dialed in. The latest bike with a slightly different mech WOULD not work properly. The issue was that the front shifting was out when the set up was done correctly, the chain rubbed on the mech cage in certain gears or the indexing wouldnt work crisply. I returned it to my local store for them to try. They did a semi bodge fix but the issues of chain rubbing on the mech in certain gears still remained and they needed to set the shifter to run in 3x10 mode to achive this which leave a "dead" index click A look at the pre June bikes show that the front mechs were slightly different with a slightly longer cage, dyna-sync sticker on them and part code:FD616 which works fine. The other newer supplied mech has a different part number no duna-sync sticker and has a small plastic section at the lowest rear of the cage which the FD 616 differs by being fully metal in the cage and the cage being a different and slightly longer profile. Watch out for which mech you get if you want your gearing to work exactly as it should. The halfords mechanic wondered if the latest bikes has 3x mechs supplied by mistake, I dont remember the other part number for the less functional mech but it wasnt FD616 which is the working one. If you score a correctly specced one, its a great bike for the price (oh and the chains are about 4 links too long, b tension screws set way too far in etc out of the box... The good end to this story is that the front mech was swapped in store with friendly staff for a correctly compatible one, cheers! 15 June 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by Dave2691 Fantastic Bike! I've done about 120 miles on my Bizango since buying it a few weeks ago, most have been on bridle paths and canal tow paths, but I've also taken it on some fast, rough trails in the Somerset hills. The bike performs really well on all surfaces. The 29" wheels really smooth out the rough stuff and make downhills scarily quick! The maxxis Ardent tyres are super grippy and deore gears index well, brakes are excellent and suspension is sweet. It's a fantastic bike for the price. 13 June 2016Rated 4 out of 5 by Adammd209 Great bike for the price Road biker by nature, wanted a mtb to vary the diet a little, so thought I'd purchase the bizango. Read reviews so thought it was a no brainer. Superb bike for the money, the frame handles well and the components are pretty good. Air fork is a nice touch and is fully adjustable. Great for riding hard or taking it easy on trails! Buy one, you won't regret it. 24 July 2016Rated 4 out of 5 by ALD717 Brilliant but a couple of niggles Great bike. Only had it a short while and already clocked up 50 miles, 50 easy miles as the bike copes brilliantly with bridle paths and gnarly trails. My only issue was the grips. I adjusted the brake positions so i only needed one finger for braking. unfortunately the grips both pulled away from their respective lock devices. The grip locks are on the ends of the bars and the brakes seem to keep the other end in place. No worries, I've ordered some death-grips. Also had to centre the bars as they were initially offset by 1.5 cm. 05 June 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by ashley93 amazing After having the bike only a week now it is far by the best bike I have ever had and it has become a favorite of mine, the 29er is so smooth to ride and is comfy as well would reccomend this bike any day 14 July 2016Rated 5 out of 5 by JD808 New for Old My 2014 Bizango got nicked so DL gave me a new one. Delighted to say that good just got better. Bike feels even more lively than it's predecessor and component quality is great for the price. Best thing is the clutched rear mech, chainslap begone! Halfords Straiton are pretty knowledgeable and I've extended my care plan. Mt son's Trek 3500 was stolen too and he's opted for a Voodoo Bantu. He's very happy as well. 23 May 2016
