VooDoo Bizango 29er Mountain BikeMountain Bike Rider, Hardtail of the year - under £750 "Killer Value with a great ride quality, this bike easily deserves top marks." Rated 10/10!
Halfords acknowledges that Mountain Bike Rider is a Trademark of Time Inc.
A bike that needs no introduction, the VooDoo Bizango 29er Mountain Bike is a trail-destroying beast that has a slew of awards to its name, and it's easy to see why. Bumpy trails are no match for this bike's specs: a 120mm Suntour Raidon air fork soaks up all those bumps like a sponge, and the 20 speed Shimano Deore drivetrain provides an excellent range with smooth changes. The Bizango laughs in the face of mud and obstacles thanks to its large 29" wheels and Maxxis Ardent tyres which provide fantastic traction without slowing you down. If things are getting too hairy, the powerful Shimano hydraulic disc brakes can be relied upon in all weathers, and it's topped off with a finishing kit that provides precise and direct handling. The Bizango is the bike that's always raring to go and sulks when it has to come home.

VooDoo Bizango 29er Mountain Bike 2016 is rated out of 5 by 127.Rated 5 out of 5 by motherof2boys from Ideal for teenage son Excellent value. Needed 22" as son is 6'1" with 34" inside leg. 20" would have been OK, but left no leeway for further growth. Stylish looks and decent equipment.Date published: 2017-11-06Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Excellent bike for the money Bought this bike last year and has had plenty of abuse at haldon Forrest. Copes with the green both blue and the red trails no problem especially as a slightly over weight 40yo rider. Only changes I’ve made are fitting my gussy slim Jim pedals and my race face riser bars but that’s personal choice not for quality reasons. Seats very comfy good range of gears forks very good quality for a bike of this price. Only 2 faults I can think of and that’s rear brake hose has rubbed paint off top of fork but has since been rerouted and the single clamp on the grips kept coming loose so now glued on so overall brilliant value for money and 2 faults in a year of use not very bad at allDate published: 2017-11-01Rated 5 out of 5 by largs from Great bike except the saddle I have been on two rides so can't review on how good parts are in respect of reliability. The ride feels very good with this bike and managed the terrain of the South Downs well. Bum was numb after long rides so saddle will be changed soon. Brakes and gears all work as expected except if in small cog at front and small cog at back - some times chain came off if change to large cog at front. Might just be setup of gears - but have been making sure large cog at back before changing up at front. The 6 week service might fix this. Enjoy riding this bike having upgrade from 26 inch wheeled bike - did take some getting use to. I do recommend this product and got it at a great price as was able to trade in old bike for extra 10% off.Date published: 2017-10-18Rated 5 out of 5 by NevW from Super value bike! Great performing hardtail! Ride is fast and responsive for the money although the components suffer at this price? Overall a great value for money bike?Date published: 2017-10-13Rated 5 out of 5 by Mranon from Underwelmed riding it home, then I got it muddy! Live five minutes from Halfords and rode it straight from the shop. Didn't seem anything special. Thought I'd been a victim of all the hype that surrounds this bike. My son has a Boardman Comp and I personally prefer the sleek design of that to the Bizango. I cut 4 inches off the saddle stem as I wouldn't lower enough - hitting the bottle cage bolts internally (common issue with a lot of bikes). Took it out for a quick spin to try it on a certain short steep 30 hill/bank with a 90 degree switchback which I use as a gauge when trying different bikes. I was up before I had time to think! Next time was the same too! Two hours I later I nicked my son's bike and tried the hill again. Had a few attempts using varying techniques but the front kept lifting. A lot of words just to say this Bizango is well planted but for me it was a revelation how well this handled compared with all previous bikes.Date published: 2017-10-10Rated 4 out of 5 by LikesToBike from Decent bike at a reasonable price I use my Bizango all of the time for a mix of on and off road. This has a decent Air fork, 2 front chainrings, decent tyres and 10 speeds on the rear cassette. It's very good value and you likely wont find this kind of spec on a fancier brand within this price range.Date published: 2017-10-07Rated 5 out of 5 by Bale12345 from Gorgeous Bike Extremely impressed with my new bike. Good value for money.Date published: 2017-10-03Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Great bike Bought this last week and took it for a spin on my favourite bit of Lake District fellside. Everything worked well. gears, brakes, all very good. It came for some reason with 65 psi in the tyres. Before I rode I let them down to a conservative 40 but it was still very bouncy so let out a bit more down to about 30 which made it a lot better. It rolls well over stones and small rocks and climbs well on rocky tracks. Big gripe, which has been mentioned before, is the cable bracket half way along the top tube. I had three red wheals on my left knee after the ride where it had banged on the bracket - this seems to be the only weakness of the design. I hope some tape will protect my knee but it needs a re-think. Pedals are also pretty rubbish - fair play to Halfords, most bikes don't come with pedals at all but these have almost no grip. Good thing is, they are so flimsy looking that if you bang them there is no danger of bending anything more important as I think they will just snap. Budget for some tape and new pedals and this is a proper mountain bike. Do you need to spend more to have fun on Lakeland trails? No.Date published: 2017-10-02
