Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed The EBCO URC30 Electric Bike has made a real difference to my life. It came with mud and chain guards, a comfortable seat and lights as standard. This means I can leave the car behind around town, travel without getting overheated or dirty and arrive at meetings fresh. The battery is easy to disconnect and carry so I don't have to store the two together. I get more exercise without having to dedicate more time to it so as far as I am concerned it it a real winner!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent machine I've got this bike as my old needed replacing so I decided to buy an electric bike this time and when I rode it home from my local store it made me smile and it still makes me smile every time I get on it it makes Hills feel so flat as I live in quite a hilly area this bike makes it so easy to get to and from work and also when I go out and about on the weekends it has a good display screen which tells you how fast you are going with battery level indicator so you know when to recharge the battery it it also tells you the range of how many miles you are getting out of the battery and has a quick start button to make you move from the start and also tells you what your total mileage is that you have done on the bike and also has a trip counter has a switch to switch the lights on and off and also has a light sensor that automatically switches the lights on when it gets dark and has three different pedal assist modes I also love that it comes with mudguards and a chain guard and also the luggage rack that comes on the back And also you get a bike stand as well this is an excellent bike and I would recommend to anyone who is looking to purchasing an electric bike also had good customer service from the staff at my local store who Who was very friendly and and explain some of the things about the bike to me which also helped for when I got on the bike to ride home after picking it up from my local store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome machine i have now done nearly 2000 miles on mine. still original battery. does the daily commute easily. has also gone up against real cyclists on peak district wknds- done off road trails for 16 miles and stayed with the pack leader. time after time. things to change are the factory puncture resistant tyres to marathon plus 2.0s and loose the front fitted mudguard to a downtube mounted item. change the pedals for metal ones. brake lever on rear is a £11 swap and improves power 200%. and still takes a shopping load week after week. THIS IS THE ONE TO GET.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product I have had the bike for a week now and would definitely recommend it. My usual commute was around 25 minutes each way including getting off and walking for some steep inclines. I now take about 12 minutes each way without breaking sweat. You still get some exercise as you have to pedal for the electric motor to work but you arrive a lot more relaxed. Despite what others have said ive found the bike light enough to ride as a normal bike without any assistance and the 8 gears more than sufficient. Assistance is upto 15 miles an hour but that allows you to reach higher speeds of around 20 miles an hour down hill. I now use my bike for leisure now also and would thoroughly recommend this bike. .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value for money. We purchased 2, a UCL and UCR 30 and are generally very pleased with them. We are keen recreational cyclist who regularly ride for 20 miles or more. We wanted to increase the distances we ride without feeling too exhausted and possibly take the bikes away abroad on touring holidays. I like to do my own maintenance and these bikes are Ideal in this respect being no different to any other with "V" brakes and conventional gear set ups. The motor is in the front hub and appears maintenance free. As regards riding and performance we found that it is crucial to use the gears a lot to get a smooth transition of power especially when climbing hills and to change back down as you level off. You may find the power a little erratic if not. I'm sure this will be common to all electric bikes though. Power mode 1 is what we use virtually all the time and is giving us a range of 35- 40 miles and we have only used settings 2 and 3 to exhaust the battery at the end of a ride so that we can give them a full charge ( recommended when new ). Charging is as specified between 4 and 6 hours. We looked at all the alternatives and felt these bikes gave the best value for money and although its early days we still hold this view. The bikes were ordered through Halfords to be assembled and collected in store but some minor adjustments we needed afterwards. One such adjustment was needed after one of the bikes nearly failed to stop at a junction. That said the staff at our local store were very friendly, helpful and attentive.
