What’s Included in a Halfords Car Service?
Booking your vehicle in for service is the best way to prevent future problems like breakdowns, road accidents or major engine damage. If minor issues are caught early, our Halfords technicians can often repair them on the same day – saving you money in the long run and keeping you safe behind the wheel.
You can select different Halfords car services based on when your vehicle was last serviced and how many miles you’ve driven. All our services cover the necessary checks, including:
- Brakes
- Tyres
- Suspension
- Steering
- Engine oil replacement
- Oil and filter replacement
All Halfords services adhere to your vehicle manufacturer’s guidelines and equal manufacturer servicing in terms of quality, efficiency and reliability.
Interim Service
An interim service is a 56-point vehicle check, recommended every 6 months or 6,000 miles, whichever comes first.
It focuses on key safety and performance components, including:
- Brake
- Steering
- Tyres
The service also includes an engine oil and oil filter change, helping to keep parts properly lubricated, reduce wear, and maintain smooth running.
Full Service
A full service is designed for every 12 months or 12,000 miles.
This 76-point inspection covers all the essential checks, including;
- An engine oil and oil filter change
- Air filter replacement (worth up to £70), improving the air quality of your car cabin.
Additional checks are carried out on components such as coolant seals, windscreen condition and more, the same checks that would be carried out on an interim service.
Major Service
This 78-point major service is intended for every 24 months or 24,000 miles and includes a full and in-depth examination.
A major service consists of all the previous checks and top-ups, in addition to a cabin filter and brake fluid replacement, worth up to a total of £184.90.
