Free Steering and Suspension Check

Benefits of a Free Steering and Suspension Check

  • Helps identify potential issues early, before they turn into costly repairs

  • Improves handling and comfort, providing a smoother, safer ride

  • Checks all major steering and suspension components for safety and reliability

  • Provides peace of mind with a same-day, no-obligation quote if any work is needed

  • Uses OEM (original equipment manufacturer) car parts, so your vehicle stays reliable and road-ready

  • Backed by a minimum 2-year or 24,000-mile guarantee* for added peace of mind

How does our Free Steering and Suspension Check work?

Our technicians will assess your car's handling, check the power steering fluid, and listen for any whining noise from the power steering pump. They'll also inspect key suspension components for signs of wear or damage.

If a repair or replacement is needed, a no-obligation quote will be provided. We only use quality parts from approved suppliers, backed by our standard 2-year or 24,000-mile warranty, whichever is sooner.

When should I book a Steering and Suspension Check?

Most manufacturers recommend a full suspension overhaul at around 50,000 miles, but having your steering and suspension checked more regularly can help spot small issues before they turn into costly repairs.

It's a good idea to book a check if:

  • You're having trouble turning the steering wheel

  • Your car is pulling to one side when driving

  • The steering wheel is hard to turn

  • There is power steering fluid leaking from the front of your car (the fluid looks red when new and brown when old)

  • You are not replacing the steering fluid every 80,000 miles or every two years

  • Your car has hit a pothole, kerb, or been involved in a bump

  • You've driven off-road

  • You've noticed knocking noises, vibrations, steering problems, or uneven tyre wear

Many drivers also choose to book a free steering and suspension check alongside a wheel alignment or tyre rotation, which is typically done every 15,000 miles.

What happens if I drive with steering or suspension issues?

Driving with worn shocks, struts, suspension components, or steering-related faults can lead to a range of consequences, such as:

  • Reduced braking efficiency

  • Loss of handling and control

  • Tyre wear
