What causes battery issues?
Over time, batteries naturally lose capacity through regular use and age. Extreme temperatures, especially cold weather, can reduce performance or stop a battery from holding charge properly. Short, frequent trips can also drain a battery because it doesn't get enough time to fully recharge. Finally, things like leaving lights or accessories on, corrosion on the terminals, or a failing alternator can all contribute to a weak or flat battery.

All parts fitted at Halfords Autocentres and National Tyres Autocentres are guaranteed for a minimum of 2 years or 24,000 miles* (whichever is sooner). Some parts such as batteries include a longer warranty as stated on the product. If a part we have fitted should fail, it can be replaced or repaired at any of our 600 autocentres. This guarantee only covers parts and labour, excludes any additional costs incurred due to a warranty failure.
