Mobile Car Servicing FAQs

We charge from £239.99 for a mobile full service in selected locations, where pricing increases based on the size of the vehicle engine CC and selected appointment time. For customers interested in selecting a mobile full service, delivered at their home or place of work, we now offer a range of appointment fee times and prices for consideration.

Our mobile full service can be booked online in selected locations - simply navigate to Car Servicing and click through to the Full Service option for internal combustion engine vehicles. Once on the page, make sure your details are filled in - vehicle reg and postcode - and then select the 'We'll come to you' option that you will find at the 'Book at your local garage' stage. Once selected, you can then choose your date and time and add to basket!

We require the following conditions to safely deliver the service:

1. Flat and solid ground for stable working

2. At least 1 metre of space around the vehicle for safety clearance barriers/bollards

3. An off-road location like a concrete driveway or employer’s car park with the ability for our technician to park their van close by.

Poor weather conditions can also sometimes mean we can’t complete the booked service, although this is unusual. However, we’ll always liaise with customers to advise on any challenges and if required rebook the appointment at a time convenient for the customer.

Yes. The 5% discount with HMC premium will apply to the mobile full service.

It’s the most convenient and easy way to get this type of service delivered in the UK from the garage chain with the market-leading 24 month / 24k mile parts and labour guarantee.

Yes (subject to data & equipment availability).

No, but we will stamp your vehicle’s maintenance logbook with a ‘Halfords Garage Services’ branded stamp, confirming that a full service has been completed.

Our environmental waste licence allows Halfords Mobile Experts to carry and dispose of the waste we create as part of our service. We cannot take away waste from a customer’s location, which we have not created. For example, we cannot take away oil or brake pads that a customer may have removed themselves from their vehicle.

We use specially trained colleagues, with bespoke tools, procedures and health and safety and environmental waste management solutions, to deliver this service. For example, we use protective equipment like fluid spillage mats under the vehicle to protect the ground we work on and oil extractor vacuum pumps to remove engine oil safely from vehicles (when possible), avoiding the need to drain the oil from underneath the vehicle. We also use ‘appropriately labelled’ environmental waste containers to carry the waste we generate, from our service, back to our Hubs for safe environmental disposal.

Our Halfords Mobile Experts (HME) currently don’t provide a full mobile service for hybrid or battery electric vehicles, but our garages can assist customers with these vehicles.
