Fresh air This is a great item, very easy to use and smells good too. 20 May 2012
Air con smells A friend recommended the product in an effort to get rid of unpleasant smells preventing me using the air conditioning system. It worked perfectly took about 15 minutes and had no further problems 23 April 2012
Comma Air con cleaner This Comma Air con cleaner is highly recommened if your car air con is giving funny fungi smell it really cleans the whole system very well not like other brands you end up using 2 cans and fragrance is not very nice on other brands but Comma smells fresh. Overall Good It does remove the bacterial odour that lingers after using the aircon and leaves quite a nice citrus smell, which lasted unfortunately about 4 days- however 5 weeks later the bacterial odour still hasn't come back!!!! 06 August 2011
OK so far. The problem with my Air Con was that it didn't smell while I was using it. The unpleasant smell appeared several minutes after I was turning it off which was quite confusing. I used this product following the exact instructions except for adding 5 minutes extra to the 10 minutes stated on the can, making 15 minutes in total. That was 2 weeks ago and so far no smell. Very happy so far but if the smell does return I will come back here to update. 20 June 2011
Poor buy Used this item as per instructions but, when completed i found no noticeable difference within the car or to my Air Conn. If this item was not included as a package i would not have bought it. 03 May 2011
Blast away cigarette smells quick makes car smell great for a couple of weeks and very lemony, but need to use AC regularly to avoid bad smells....Use it just before that special date..... 26 July 2010

Answer: 
Yes. The previous owner of my car was a smoker and the product neutralised the odours emitted from the air con, together with the odours which appeared to be embedded in the carpet and upholstery. I would imagine it has a similar action to dry cleaning, which is also solvent based.

After the initial solvent blast, the interior and air con is left with a fresh/neutral smell.

Yes as long as use follow the instuctions carefully and it will not only clean but also leave a fresh odour.
