Slime Presta Bike Inner Tube - 700c is rated out of 5 by 48.Rated 5 out of 5 by Goathief from works for thorns works for small punctures like blackthorn but you can get the same product far cheaper than the price Halfords charge!Date published: 2017-12-08Rated 4 out of 5 by TrekFX3 from Easy puncture protection Fitted a pair these on my new hybrid bike running 700 x 32c's, the tubes looked to be fairly good quality with long valves and bright green dust caps and they have kept their pressure for the last week without the need to re-inflate. The inner tubes had 28-35c printed on them but the box states 28-32c so if you have 35's then check the tubes before purchase. So far they have done 120k and their puncture resistance hasn't been tested yet, but I have used the 26" version on my MTB for a couple of years and they worked very well. All in all very pleased and I wouldn't ride without them combined with puncture resistant tyres, a little extra weight vs mid cycle tyre removal is a no brainer for me as I hate fixinf punctures.Date published: 2017-05-14Rated 4 out of 5 by Hugo44 from Slime bike inner tube I am Quite Impressed so far with the tube, the only down side is this tyre size does not come with Schroeder valves. Have not had any punctures since fitting the tubes.Date published: 2017-03-11Rated 1 out of 5 by Kaz262 from Awful product Good idea but does not work at all. I got a puncture after hitting a stone going down hill but after I stopped and tried to sort it out the slime just gushed out everywhere. Another flat tyre resulted in the slime flowing out of the valve as I tried to inflate it covering me and the bike with green gunk! Save your money and stick to normal tubes!Date published: 2017-01-16Rated 1 out of 5 by EJAG1991 from Terrible Makes the bike feel so slow, had to pump my tires every 5-7 days and it only self `healed` one puncture, my front tyre exploded at 0100 in the morning which was nice.. scared the dog and the cat along with my dad. I have never rated anything I brought 1 star and if I could I would rate this on a minus rating.Date published: 2017-01-14Rated 1 out of 5 by cycletrousers from Utterly useless Not only do these inners appear to be very lightweight and more prone to punctures than others I have had in the past, but they DO NOT SELF SEAL!!! Nice idea but does not work at all. Both the ones I bought are now in the bin having had two unrepairable punctures. Absolute waste of money.Date published: 2016-11-15Rated 3 out of 5 by milky77 from ok but i do wonder if its easier just to have spare tubes. the mountain bike tubes seem better as mine have lasted a couple years with nails and thorns. racer tyres are a different ball game . maybe some more experimenting needed in the labsDate published: 2016-09-08Rated 2 out of 5 by Dedred16 from Not Good, still got a puncture? I had these fitted to my new bike at Halfords, my old bike had puncture proof tyres and these slime tubes were a cheaper option instead of replacing brand new tyres. The rear tube has lasted 3 months, I got my first slow puncture this morning on the rear tube( front still ok), I replaced the Slime tube with a normal tube on the road. when I got home I had a good look at the slime tube, the hole was not even 2mm diameter, when I squeezed the tube the slime was visible at the puncture however it did not seal when in the tyre has they profess too. Probably the only positive thing was I did not blow out right away, maybe the slime reduced the damage? who knows? hope this helps anyone thinking of buying them reach a decision.Date published: 2016-07-12
