The Thule 9403 3 Bike Tow Bar Carrier is a very practical rear mounted Cycle Carrier with tilt function giving easy boot access when the bikes are mounted

This compact bike carrier comes with patented tow bar coupling which allows for safe and rapid mounting, meaning no adjustment is needed.

The carrier can carry a maximum of 3 bikes with a maximum load capacity of 45kg.

Good purchase Bought the Thule 9403 to go on the back of my Vw t4 towbar , but had to use spacers on the towbar , when the carrier is fitted and set to correct tork the bikes tilt towards the vehicle , so have to turn the bars on the inside bike facing the crossbar but all of this takes no time at all ,the bikes are all very safe and secure when strapped on and using proper mountain bikes as well .so very pleased with my new bike carrier does the job well . 21 May 2012
Thule bike carrier Very tight for 3 bikes, ideal for 2. The tilt function does not allow my Mondeo estate tailgate to open with a bike in the first position. Still it is better than lifting onto roof or strapping a rack to tailgate. 20 May 2012
Cracking alternative to roof mounted carriers The carrier was simple, if a little time consuming, to assemble, easy to mount and extremely stable. The only slight negative (and it only slight) is that the space to fit 3 moutain bikes is very tight but by no means to tight. The rack is expensive but when compared to 3 roof mounts it is very reasonable. The tilting arrangement that allows access to the boot without removal of the holder is also very well designed and easy to use. 16 May 2012

Great build great quality After much consideration went for this mid-range Thule Tow Bar bike rack. Turned out Halfords had one returned fully assembled so bought that rather than build it myself - but other reviews say it's not difficult to build. Went out last Saturday (an hour there, an hour back). First attempt to secure three bikes a little difficult (one bike was too wide), but it's getting better with practice. Bikes appear secure, and no issues. The rack itself is dead easy to attach securely, and build quality is excellent - overall very pleased. 20 April 2012

Easy loading bike rack Fairly easy to assemble and clearly robust. Fitted Ok to the towbar. The bikes seemed to be able to sway a lot as the upright hoops are free to swivel however when we tightened the straps the 3 point hold was quite firm enough and the bikes do not move unduly. Very easy to load the bikes on and saves that lifting onto the roof. 15 April 2012
Good quality item This is a good quality piece of kit for the money. It did the job of carrying our bikes on a recent trip to Wales very well. It's easy to assemble and simple to operate and i would recommend this to anyone who has a towbar and towball. 14 April 2012

Booking may be required depending on how busy the store is, and this is subject to vehicle inspection. Certain vehicles are not suitable for the WeFit service.

The Thule 9403 3 Bike Tow Bar Carrier fits all standard types of towbar - including flange, swan neck & detachable. Unfortunately we don't offer tow bar installation in store, but we do offer a fitting service for the carrier.

The 04 Freelander has a side hinged door and a spare tyre mounted on it. I realise that I will be restricted to two bikes only due to the tyre.
